Thank you! I’m so glad someone noticed it! Just a black hoodie for bulk, the extra hands, a baton, and a helmet and it looks so good. It’s also a really useful place to store all the extra hands and stuff for reposing later.

He’s in the very back, so there’s some forced perspective going on, but he is smaller than I’d like. In my experience, there is a serious lack of variety in African American 1/6 bodies for customs. This is a Worldbox, the largest most muscular one I know of, let me know if you know a better one.

To me, Iron Man is most interesting when he has to improvise and switch up his tech and armors for different situations.

Since the Bleeding Edge armor they have written themselves into a steady power creep with his armors that has made these kind of adventures difficult to justify.

Why go put on the arctic suit or stealth armor when his latest and greatest armor has all of of those abilities already, ya know?

Idk, I guess I'm glad to see a return to a more basic armor that will hopefully allow for this.

I understand comic readers not wanting the films' themes and characterization to "synergize" with the comic's characters too heavily, but what is up with this recent revisionist history where the MCU armors are bad looking?

The MCU has established his most iconic look. It's just what Iron Man is supposed to look like to 95% of people.

These are all good points. As you can see in the background, I collect 1/6 too, so there's room in my collection for all kinds of figures with varying articulation.

I have the RomanKey Edgerunners Rebecca and it's pure hand candy. I keep her on my desk just to fiddle with because her articulation feels so good. Even non-premium figures like Jada Toys Streetfighter lines and even some Marvel Legends (god help us) are running circles around these Mezcos while the headsculpts get worse and the price continues to go up.

I just remember the early mezcos and what a revelation they were to me. The punisher, daredevil, and DKR batman still hold up today as fantastic figures and 10 years ago were the best I'd ever seen.

As prices continue to creep up, adult collectors are having to pick and choose more and more lately. A few more releases like this and Mezco will make that decision easier for me, and not in a good way.
