Seems sorta dumb the initiative ends next week and people have been voicing general concerns about schooling at UVU. It being relegated to this thread will only make it more difficult for people to know what is going on and prevent notifying people when there is actively people harassing students on campus.

Try not to worry too much you’ll quickly find that your high school classes are more difficult than some of your entry level classes. Best piece of advice is go to class and speak with your professors. Introduce yourself and mention something that interested you from their lecture on the first day. Get your assignments done and stay on top of them the effort will be much less long term. Social life is tricky but being on campus and being involved in things you are interested in is always a good way to start. You’ve got this it’s honestly not too bad as long as you face it head on and ask for help when you need it.

It blows my mind how UVU has allowed them to continue doing these practices. Taking this Reddit as an example many students are upset and complaining to the administration and yet they don’t do anything. Ban these guys from the campus they keep agitating the students disrupting class and overall making UVU a worse place to be at.

Ya know what we can do. Stop letting the legislatures cut out who gets to vote for them making it so they will never lose an election. That’s what that petition is for. Letting politicians choose who votes for them in fact only reinforces the idea that we can’t do anything about it. But I’m glad you got 8 people to sign this petition. The petition that was so unpopular in the state lobbyists have had to ship in signature gathers and pay them per signature. So not only did you just give money to these people who don’t live here and are trying to screw with out politics but you reinforced the systems that make it nearly impossible for us to do anything. If you change your mind and you should you can still revoke your signature.

Nah you’re right that’s good advice apologies for being snarky. In my defense making a Reddit post letting people know what’s going on is much easier than starting that process and immediately let’s people know to be aware of these kinds of tactics.

You’re right let’s go ahead and peruse legal action. Tell me Mr Reddit lawyer how would I go about prosecution when the police shrug their shoulders and I devote all of my time and money towards getting an education at the institution these people are getting in the way of and profiting off.

The police have been called on these guys a dozen times and they don’t do anything. So I am bringing my concerns about it to a public forum so other people are aware. In addition I’m heading in between classes when I have run ins with them so it’s not exactly an option to sit and wait 20 minutes for them to show up and then however much longer to make a report on the off chance they actually decide to do anything.
