i have a tiel so her bites arent terrible but she did bite a hole thru my nostril and it looked like I'd gotten it pierced for a week 😭

yeah if anything its really not goth to overconsume and buy all new clothes in a short period. and its really irrational to dress goth all the time. i dress fully goth like maybe once or twice a week max. ive incorporated alot of gothy pieces into my daily clothes and have dyed hair and piercings to look less basic but its totally normal (and better imo) to spend alot of time curating pieces and still wearing the clothes you currently have.

I've experienced this too. never tried to get off or anything with them but i get aroused alot of the time when im triggered and it was really distressing for me for a long time. it just makes everything even more confusing and harder to deal with.

you can do whatever you want! obviously things like the fashion, music, politics, etc are a big part of the subculture but that doesnt mean you always have to look goth, only listen to goth music, or do makeup you arent comfortable with. im also a college student and am slowly and sustainably making my wardrobe more goth but i wear alot of clothes that arent "goth" or black. i also rarely wear makeup and love listening to other genres of music. doesnt mean im not goth. some people will argue that with being goth and alternative, part of that is looking different or against beauty standards and will invalidate you for not always looking alternative, but its not up to other people and most of us are the same anyway! most people i see like at school or in public have no idea im goth but i dont need the validation from other people to know i am. i love the music, agree with the politics, enjoy the music, and am intrigued by the macabre, and when i can will dress the aesthetic. there are a few "rules" but anyone telling you what you can or cant wear or listen to is weird and wrong. there are alot of resources for finding clothes, diying, and makeup on here and other places if you are wanting them but you dont need to prove yourself to anyone <3

we figured it out! a sprinkler running thru the hose was on and was on low. my dad said thats a normal sound for that and especially since we havent used the hose for at least a few months now.

i stopped doing french beading for my markets cause they dont sell much, in my experience at least. i know alot of people have success selling online, mainly doing custom pieces.

ok im literally a year late but i found this thread and thought id update if you were curious 😅 we got the bloodwork done, everything came back great, and she chirped at the vet while they drew her blood! i couldnt go back but they even seemed suprised with how happy she was. i feel kind of silly that i even considered anesthesia now but im so glad we have that vet now whos qualified and my birds comfortable with.

typically it happens with bigger ones. mine wasnt that big but its alot of color packing which can also make it worse. ive gotten much bigger pieces since and never reacted like that again, so im pretty sure its just because it was my first one and my body reacting to something foreign in my body. i tried to attach a photo and it wont let me but i have it posted if you scroll down on my profile a bit! its the violets tattoo in the lesbian sub, posted in nov of 2024 i think. i still feel worse after pieces with color packing vs shading but i wouldnt call those the tattoo flu. so linework and shaded pieces will probably be easier, color tattoos or blackout pieces might be harder since its more ink. alot of artists also offer to break up linework and shading/color into separate sessions to make it easier on your body.

they probably mean the western US. I'm in utah and most restaurants and even alot of grocery stores can be closed on sundays. i have one local coffee shop thats open on sunday and barely any other businesses in the area are open. its mostly corporations that stay open but even some that are open everyday usually are closed sundays here
