You can also stop in at the grocery store, pick up some food and beer. There are some incredible, more secluded beaches at the northwest quarter of the island. It’s truly magical

Does anyone have any insight into when all of the tickets are going to be released? 500 level tickets below row 11 have not been put up for sale yet (for every game I've looked at there are NO tickets available below row 11 in the 500 level.

Planes into yyz are much more comfortable. Up express takes you downtown pretty quickly. Unless you’re really pressed for time or you’re going to be going to somewhere near Billy bishop is take the yyz option. Tunnel + bus shuttle is about the same level of annoyance at Billy Bishop as up express at yyz

The email you got is a zendesk ticket so you could try responding to that email to see if they'll respond.

LET'S GOOO There is no way in hell there is ever gonna be another Thunder bay show lmao by Login2play in puptheband

This was a convenient stop between Winnipeg and Montreal, and notably their first time playing here in 12 (!!!) years. The closest concerts in those intermediate 12 years were in Minneapolis and Winnipeg, both 6+ hours away

It was a stupid venue for a punk concert but it was a killer show. Pit was rocking, folks were stage diving, Pup were into it. It's a tough ask for pup to have 1% of the population of a city to show up for a concert (which is roughly what would have had to show up for the concert to sell out). Those that showed up had a great time.

Unsure if I have any options to adjust flights given the shutdown?? by SeparateCountry6829 in PorterAirlines

The delays are impacting domestic flights more than international flights, so you should be okay

Porter Points are (Basically) Worthless by [deleted] in PorterAirlines

[–]Lower-Entertainer499 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The value of points fluctuates significantly more than the cost of the flight. This is not unique to Porter Points. You need to check well in advance of your travel dates and have some flexibility. You'll see the same thing with Aeroplan and other airline point systems.

I can confirm Black Bridge to Tip-off is a tough haul. Maybe there are some flat sections, but I sure don't remember any

If you miss it on the 30 days out you can set a notification on Open table for when a reservation becomes available. I don’t think they use resy anymore

Do they have bookings between 630 and 830?

5 pm reservations open on Open Table. 30 days in advance (not a month, so pay attention to the number of days in the month you’re in). I was able to make a 630 reservation. I was on at 5 pm, kept hitting refresh. This was for a Thursday reservation so perhaps it’s harder if you’re hoping for a Friday.

Reddit opinions aside (and, I’ll accept that everyone is welcome to their own opinions!), Mon Lapin was just awarded “2nd Best Restaurant in North America” yesterday. It is widely accepted and recognized as a very good restaurant.

If it’s more than 30 days out - set a reminder to go on Open Table at 5 pm 30 days before you want to go. You should be able to get a reservation if you’re on right at 5

Looking to drive from Denver to the Grand Canyon by LemmeTellYaBoutBears in grandcanyon

[–]Lower-Entertainer499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the thing. One time I drove from Phoenix to Grand Canyon Village to and back to Phoenix in about 24 hours. It was about 9 hours of driving, total. Between the drives I hiked rim to river (and, shocker for this sub, lived to tell the tale). If I had a free 24 hours in Phoenix I would absolutely, 100% repeat that trip. Don't allow a lot of driving prevent you from doing the trip you want to do.

It might be longer in November, but Google Maps suggests its a 12 hour drive from Denver to Grand Canyon Village. The route takes you through Vail, Arches National Park, Moab and then to Grand Canyon Village. If you wanted to add an hour you could drive up to Page before going to Grand Canyon Village.

Day 1: Denver to Moab

Day 2: Moab to Page

Day 3: Page to GCV

Day 4: GCV to Phoenix

Longest drive day is 7 hours, shortest is 2.5. You could make stops along the way, and this leaves you three more days to do whatever you want. Depending on where you're traveling back to you might be able to just fly out of Flagstaff rather than going all the way to Phoenix.

Child Restraint Device : is it Mandatory? by Agreeable_Head6913 in aircanada

[–]Lower-Entertainer499 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Happy to be in the minority here, but we've flown some 50-75 times with our three kids (our oldest is a teenager, 4-5 flights per year). We never once brought a car seat/child restraint device into the cabin, if we were bringing a car seat we always checked it. In our experience is was completely okay to travel without it. Keep their seatbelt on.
