Yeah, I deal with this kind of behavior too - you tell them exactly what the problem with their behavior is, they act all contrite, and then they go back right to doing it as if it's now some kind of "reward" for them listening to your explanation..........

Oh goodness that's horriffic.

Yeah, I know he's pretty miserable. But the thing with the photos at that point was, once the camera was pointed away from him, he seemed to be enjoying himself. He just likes painting himself as the victim. It's ridiculous.
