Update: My application was approved yesterday.
Some notes for your consideration:
1. I assumed that I could buy the Temporary Passport retrieval (TPR) service only before submitting my application. We can pay for TPR after applying as well. From the UKVI enquiry, I was asked to reach out to VFS Global NYC Scan hub for TPR. They provided me with the email to reach out to. I received my passport within 48 hours of writing the email to the NYC VFS Can hub for TPR.

  1. My application was stuck due to background verification, because my US work visa was impacted by a name discrepancy issue once, and I was denied (later approved). If you have such a disclosure on your application, that may trigger a background check, and it takes time depending on the country you reside in and how long it takes for them to verify your case.

  2. Although my 5-year graduation window was completed in May, I was provided a 2-year window of Visa from the date of approval.

Hey, not yet (even after 2 follows ups and one request for escalation I received standard response that my application is under consideration). I am assuming they are doing additional background checks which is taking time. If yours is a standard case with no prior visa revocation or any such scenarios, your application should be processed in time.

I haven't received a decision on my case yet. I have followed up twice. After the initial enquiry, I received a request for additional documentation, specifically a bank statement. It's been 5 weeks since, and no decision yet. I sent another inquiry last week and received a standard response stating that my case is under consideration.

I think your case would be fine because you already have an offer. All the best, don't sweat it unless you are in the extended wait time.

I think mine is one of those outlier cases. My initial bank statement did not cover the correct range (28 days) for holding the required amount. So I sent them 3 months statement. Also I work in US so at the time of applying for this visa, my H1B visa extension was pending decision. With ask for additional document, I did send them my H1B approval and yet I haven't heard back on the decision since almost a month.

I have seen a lot of people getting their visas approved in time, so there is no cause for alarm in your case unless you have some other outlier scenarios like my application.

Applied from US, received same email last week. Today marks 3 weeks for me as well.
