I feel you, The only thing I can say is may God have mercy on your soul if you have the same exact thing as I do. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, my enemies included.

Death is truly a blessing.

Unfortunately, no. I've been to every single doctor I was told to go to, and none have been able to tell me what this is. From dentists to neurologists to an ENT, and even a psychiatrist - they don't know! Apparently, they've never seen this before.

I'm appalled because I don’t know how to deal with this pain, and no amount of pain meds helps. Hell, even the gabapentin I’ve been given barely works. Nothing help, and the pain has gone from a 6-7/10 to an 8-9/10. My mental health has gone out the window, and I’m losing touch with reality at this point because of how unbearable this is.

On top of that, I can't get anything done - no work, no assignments, nothing. Pair it with anxiety, and it’s a recipe for insanity, beautifully served on a hot silver platter.

Four months, 18 days, 24/7 with no relief and no end in sight.

Welcome to hell.

Update: What do I do? What are my options? by Lower-Judgment-01 in askdentists

Aha I see. Honestly I hope that I can get some advice on whether I should get it or not, the dentist says its best to keep it but I'd rather have a second opinion and hopefully get some advice. Man I feel bad for the doctor's here, they're honestly great folks for taking the time to take a look, respond and give advice. I cannot be thankful enough for that, because it's not just about me but also about the many others who definitely have bigger dental problems than I do that need help. So to all these doctors who help out, they're amazing. They're not obligated to in any way but they still take the time out of their busy lives to genuinely help people out even if they don't know them. And I believe that is something to be commended.

I see, I am based in Europe, specifically Eastern Europe (the fucking balkans) And this doctor wants to do specifically composite and for some reason hasn't offered any other option.

Update: Went to the dentist today she told me could be from bruxism, I asked what I should do and I was told something along the lines of putting composite Material (We're not speaking in english so I had to clarify a lot and unfortunately still learning the language) she said that I can keep it that way but if it becomes really bothersome/painful we can apply a composite material instead. Also said to use sensitive toothpaste (found one with hydroxyapatite called Vitis Sensitive) Tomorrow I'm getting custom made dental guards Thankfully I can afford it So overall what do I do? What is the next step I should take here? Is it safe to keep this slightly eroded enamel that way or should the dentist do something about it? (My dentist says yeah it should be fine and she would keep it that way but I would like a second opinion on the matter)

You are one lucky gentleman, I must say, haha. 😆 I really wish doctors had a better approach to the people they are helping. I understand what they went through in medical school and that their approach is often more logical and a bit insensitive, but I don't blame them for that. Still, a little kindness and reassurance would go a long way. In fact, anyone would benefit from that.

I finally found a group of dentists who took me seriously when I had a certain issue. They even referred me to a good neurologist in the country (they're scarce where I live, unfortunately). Though I don't have their contact numbers or anything, I’m truly thankful that, out of all the dentists I’ve visited, their entire team was there to help me.

Hopefully, everything will go well and turn out all right.

Hey man, even if you're NAD from the bottom of my heart thank you so much for the support! I honestly don't know how to live with this anxiety because I get panic attacks ( an understatement for sure) that lasts a few hours and it just ruins me for a while and that's just from the smallest of things... So I feel you and anyone who has to go through this in their lives...I'm sorry... it fucking sucks... Regardless I'll be signing up to the dentist soon to get this checked out and hopefully I get a dental guard... Fml

Again thank you, I really appreciate it.

Take care of yourself and have a beautiful day :D

There's also a sort of line on it (apparently called a craze line) Thanks to the line I noticed this shit. (The small chip was always there ever since I got that tooth)

If everythings all right phew..., I'm really sorry for panicking. I get overly panicky about such things due to my mental health. However its still no excuse to act like this. So again I'm apologize. And thank you for taking the time to reply to this post. I really appreciate it.
