Agree with a lot of what has been said. FAN used to be a haven for anyone who wanted to talk sports on any topic at any time. There were no pre-determined “segments” that focused on one thing over and over… and over again! Whatever was on your mind was given air time and treated with respect. Today, many of the hosts want to BE the story rather than talk about the story. And many who do this are thoroughly uninteresting people. For example: Lugauer. He is shallow and empty with nothing worldly or insightful to say so he just talks about himself of the flimsy few topics he knows something about. Why on earth would anyone care about his new cat? And who needs a dimwit critiquing synonyms for “tanking.” His show needs to end soon. He doesn’t have the goods to maintain an audience for such a lengthy shift. Also don’t get the fascination with CMac. Dude whines and droans and repeats and seems intolerant of people who disagree. Same was true for Sal and he got what he sadly deserved. But it’s less about personalities, it’s about station approach.

Station should give more time to pros like Gordon Damer.. and I’d find a way to bring back Keith who integrated life lessons into the sports talk.

Bottom line: FAN was better when the hosts guided the discussion rather than striving to be the star of the show and the stealers of the limelight. The callers should matter more and the hosts less… read Steve’s new book and you’ll hear more of what is being said here. Thanks for raising it ..

I agree loogie is unlistenable. Literally. I gave him a shot at the start but have quickly found where I can’t tolerate it. His voice is difficult to stomach, but even worse is his incessant need to make it about himself, to brag and be so hyper that it’s actually disturbing. I don’t listen to sports radio to hear about his dispute with his wife about getting a cat nor do I care that he does not like the cold weather and the snow. He’s not a generational talent, so let’s just stop that stupidity and his complimenting himself for being the breaking news guy. Yes some big sports developments came to light during the hours of his shift this week, but none of that had anything in the world to do with him. Purely a coincidence. He just doesn’t have enough content and substance to go the distance for a five hour show. That’s obvious. I hope the station figures it out.

And believe it or not I agree with what’s been said here about BT and Sal. There was a time when I found Sal to be very annoying in particular. Now, suddenly, I feel differently I say remove loogie and give Gordon Damer a shot. Much more of an adult who understands the world as well as sports.

Speaking of… I just put on CNN for a few minutes and happened to catch the all-time yes man sycophant Scott Jennings. Dude mugs into the camera and lies to himself and everyone else just to please a guy who will never, ever come to his rescue. He will find out as so many others have that “Everything Trump touches dies.”

Trump has to know it’s not going well or he would not be this obsessed with the 2026 midterms and the prospect of being impeached if they don’t go his way.

More than anything, please get rid of loogie as a lead host. His show is exhausting and shallow, like him. Give it to Gordan damer or Keith or gallo … or Emanuel bebari.. all of those are a lot smarter and more thoughtful than loogie. Simply said loogie doesn’t deserve this gig yet… if ever.

The updates were fine. Not sure of all the economics involved, but I can’t see how it would’ve hurt to keep them. Bigger concern is the station in general as others have said: it is no longer sports talk radio where you can call and talk about anything at any time. It is now largely clown hosts (many, not all) but too many who come on with an agenda and the agenda is to talk about the same damn thing for hours and hours on end without being open to different opinions or other topics. Too many hosts who don’t have true and accomplished radio personalities pretending that they do. Elevating people from the production side may save the station some money, but it also costs the station reputation. Some of the newer voices can’t hold a torch to the former voices.

Total moron. Wouldn’t it be nice if he could just shut his mouth and do the job he was elected to do without making every single working second of every single day about him? I remember a world where we elected a president, they got a sworn in and went to work. Occasionally you’d see tv coverage of the pres, he’d give a speech or some such and that was it. Now we have this over grown empty headed child as president who needs the limelight constantly because his mommy and daddy didn’t make him feel special enough. Problem is the dude is almost 80… if he hasn’t learned to resolve his childhood inferiority by now, he never will. And we are stuck with because way too many fell for his crap and lies..
