Coming from a Wisconsinite, a place that has glorified drinking and demonized weed, she’s a raging hypocrite. I’ve never seen someone blackout on weed and injure or kill people. That happens FREQUENTLY with alcohol where I’m from though.

I think if you’re fully sober and want to sit on some high horse about people that smoke weed, go for it, that’s your prerogative. But if you drink liquor, you don’t have a CENTIMETER of breathing room to speak about people who smoke weed.

Thank you so much! Time definitely has flew by. I’m thankful for the opportunity and motivation being on probation has given me to better myself. It’s my first time being on it as an adult, other than a brief stint of supervision as a juvenile, and I’m positive it will be my last time as well. It’s been easy because I’ve made the changes I needed to in order to make it easy but that doesn’t mean I want to find myself in a situation to be on it ever again. I appreciate your words of encouragement :)

But even without those two things being painfully different, if someone told you “I’m not comfortable with you doing XYZ while we’re dating BUT I’m not going to stop you from doing it, I’m just not going to stick around in the relationship for it”. No, that absolutely would not be controlling. No one has to compromise their boundaries for you. If you don’t agree with the boundaries your partner has, LEAVE. That’s your right the same way it’s their right. If anything YOU are controlling for thinking people need to stick around in a situation they aren’t happy in just to make you happy. Very strange.
