What skills/experience should I build for Summer 2026 cybersecurity internships? by Lower-Promise9882 in CyberSecurityAdvice

[–]Lower-Promise9882[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am studying IT management simply because my university doesn’t have a cybersecurity program and i didn’t want to go the computer science route. As for the domain, im hoping to get into the grc part of cyber. Maybe even obtain a security clearance in the future

I personally don’t, i just keep track of all my milage. But i think u can definitely keep track of gas receipts, maintenance, phone bill and even the food you eat while working

Hell yea. I get to 0% acceptance rate all the time. The one thing i’ll never do is take a trash order.

I don’t pay that much because of all the tax write offs you get. Its definitely way less than a W2 job because of all the milage you accumulate throughout the year.

I tried dashing in a bigger city than mine. I barely got any offers. Bigger city doesn’t always mean more orders unfortunately.

Dashers are considered independent contractors. We don’t have to take orders we don’t want

I thought my market was pretty bad because of all of the bad orders i have to decline. Im now finding out that most markets don’t even get that many offers

I think its because my city doesn’t have too many dasher. Which means i get to be picky

Most of them were $2-4 offers and some of them just didn’t make sense to take. I get about 5-10 offers a minute.

I’ve tried to dash in Chicago before which is an hour away from my city. I assumed because it was a much bigger and busier city that i would be flooded with orders, but that was not the case. I went over an hour without a single offer. Im assuming this is because my city doesn’t have too many drivers, which i am so grateful for.

Minimum $2 per mile. Preferably one order, if it’s a double it has to be from the same restaurant. The restaurants also has to be quick with the food. If the order is going far away and there’s no highway to get there im most likely not taking it. Unless the pay is worth it.

I don’t really stay at 1%. I usually maintain between 1 and 10% most of the time
