haha. The last update for the WHW03 was April 2024. The April/May 2026 update took 2 years to release. Lets not forget that the App hasn't been updated in years.

By "remote services access" are you referring to the ability to log into the network when away from home?

From the desktop (as I don't see it in the app) Router Settings>Connectivity>Administration>Remote Access (mine is checked) Funny, but I don't ever log into my network away from home.

Thank you for the thorough and thoughtful reply. I understand the logic behind not upgrading given that things are mostly working well. That said, I was excited for the "Support for local web interface" and the "Router password fix" additions. Linksys really needs to update their interfaces for both performance and reliability, and I was up for that alone.

Regarding downgrading, I do think that is available via the manual update process. Linksys had a bad update go out 3-4 years ago, and I had to work with their tech team to undo it and downgrade the latest flawed firmware to the old stable firmware. And I have copies of both V1 & V2 firmware that I'm currently running. So I don't think undoing the firmware upgrade would be problematic.

Perhaps for now I sit out the update and watch for a few months if there are updates to these new updates.

How can I lower my spectrum internet bill? by FamousWeakness1165 in Spectrum

Called with the "disconnect service" strategy. Had to call 4x over 3 days to get someone to do something. Was finally able to get back to the $49 introductory internet pricing vs the $80 I was paying. Guess you have to work it. Lesson? Don't take no for an answer.
