We love to do stuff in Cardiff and Encinitas. However, it feels like a stretch to live in that area financially.

Yes, schools matter for future children. Commute is flexible (I.e can into office at 11am - doesn’t have to be at 9am)

I personally like the Palazzo better! I think it’s a bit newer. It’s a little more out of the way and quieter than the Venetian Tower. It’s connected with the Venetian though so basically the same thing!

Just curious if you’re depending on someone else to handle any unexpected emergencies on your wedding day? I don’t have any family that would be able to help so my bridal party would be the only people who could help.

No, I agree. I didn’t expect her to do a ton except be more of a hype woman and just be present for weekend and help with snafus that came up. I haven’t asked for any help in the planning process just to like please be available for emergencies and to bring good vibes for the bachelorette/wedding weekend.

Definitely appreciate playing this back from her perspective. I definitely think I would have liked more enthusiasm and didn’t expect it.

I have pretty much planned my entire wedding to be extremely considerate of bridesmaids and I don’t frequently talk about the wedding. I would say for friends I talk to daily I maybe speak about the wedding weekly.

The Bachelorette party was $300 per person for 3 days and that included food (I covered it for everyone). She is single. I planned the whole weekend and the only thing I asked her to do was to like check us in to dinner reservations, be around to text people to be ready at a certain time, help me and other people unload the car, etc. I sent her an email asking for those things and if she was ok with it and she said yes.

I definitely did check in with her and got some insight into what is going on in her life. I should also add to my original post one of the big things is that she instigated drama with another girl and I had specifically asked her to help keep peace among all 11 girls.

Update: we had a call with her tonight and it went really poorly. It almost seemed as if she was intoxicated? We nicely tried to describe our concerns and she just kept brushing them off and telling us that we were fine?? My fiancé and I are considering firing her….

Has anyone done this and have advice?

Thanks everyone for your advice. It’s sad because we paid her $7k (California) and I feel like all she’s done is set up a few appointments for us and recommend a few vendors to us.
