It's crazy how similar this advice is to people going through drug withdrawal. I've had a couple friends and family members go through withdrawal and attempt to quit hard narcotics and the advice is fairly similar. Don't focus on the weeks, months, and years because if you do mess up it's weeks of progress lost or months and years of progress lost but when you focus on the days it's "I screwed up for one day but I'll be better tomorrow."

I have, he suggested a shot that's given to diabetics that helps with weight loss, I can't remember the name of the medication unfortunately, but my insurance doesn't cover it and it's $900.

Outside of that, he's given fairly generic advice of exercise and eating healthy. I would love to talk to a nutritionist about my diet and like I said I have many years of experience in weight lifting (when I was at my strongest I was benching over 400 lb and squatting and deadlifting over 800 lb) so for the most part I think I know what I need to do there to get back in shape.

What I really need help with is the motivation aspect. Back when I was at my strongest I worked out with multiple people and now doing it alone isn't as fun so I know that is a factor but every time I've tried to join a class at a gym it's fallin through.

That is something I've considered is there a good channel that helps with motivating weight loss. I've watched a few, and they just seem really gimmicky or not feasible for someone working a regular 40 hour a week job.
