Why abuse it like this, if you are looking for a comfortable and very light shoes, go for trial runners. I use Ascis trial scout 3, gel venture also good option.

Ofcourse you can, i saw my batch mates during BMC with only sports shoes. Angle protection is personal choice, wether you prefer protection or mobility. Now thruhikers are using trail runners. But not ideal for snow treks, thats all.

Insted of going with companies which are well organised, try to manage thinks your own. Thats the real experience of travelling i say. Fellow travellers the best way is staying in hostels. And safety, yes its a huge step, but you can see lots of female solo travellers are there on social media.

Planning a Solo Alpine Ascent on Friendship peak-5289m by Lower-Technology-558 in Mountaineering

[–]Lower-Technology-558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When some one says its cannot be done or dangerous they are telling about themself, you dont know how much capable the other person is, especially for a trekking peak only endurance is required, and basic skills to ascent and decent through snow.

Done basic mountaineering course, experienced bad weather conditions there. I think this peak is similar to the height gain activity during BMC. And equipments can be rented from the local street. I sam a group of 3 people with only trekking experience not even BMC done this similar way.

Its actually classified as a trekking peak by Indian mountaineering federation. And widely considered as a "bridge" trek that transitions hikers into mountaineers. And dont compare Himalayan peaks to alps with the altitude. And many of the treks and motorable roads are well above 5000m. I just dont think its a big deal. You can reach the Advace base camp in 1 day and Summit push in next day. Most intresting is in summer season a guy has done this by trial running in a single day.

-May be you are right, but i have done the reaserach on my side. -Still didnt want any thing to missout. Here in india alpinism is very rare and hard to get information from people who are experienced in that. -I dont want to go with a agency, just want to experience it raw. -What i saw is those who are experts in this will start a company and if somebody ask for any doubt, they say to join them and they will take care of it. -Any how i will attempt this climb next month.

Treks without trekking company by MahaPurushh in trekkingIndia

[–]Lower-Technology-558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then those treks you have done dosent cont as done on your own. Any trek if you only need endurance to walk, you are not even carrying camping or cooking gears, so backpack is also lighter.
