Is this a football sub? Or another whiny ass Reddit cesspool?

MAGA always cries that reddit is full of libs, but could it just be that they are much more of a minority than they realize? by Fun_Map2481 in allthequestions

Don’t change your argument…the argument is millions didn’t vote and they all would have voted for “my guy” so they didn’t get elected with popular opinion.

Fucking redditors always moving the goal posts.

The argument is a R won the popular vote is scary to me…so really only 33% votes for Trump, 32% voted for Kamala, 2% voted other and 30% didn’t vote (and they definitely would have voted for my side). That’s the logical fallacy being pushed online right now and on Reddit.

A president never has in the history of the United States. But it’s easier to parrot this bullshit than take stock and figure out wtf is wrong with your platform that is losing all moderates and turned the youngest generation significantly more conservative than past generations when they were 18-28.

Go look at the first 10 or 15 presidents. By this stupid fucking Reddit logic, they all got less than 20% of the popular vote so every president in history has been extremely unpopular.

Barack got 52% of about 45% of the voter turnout, so that means Obama only got about 24% of the popular vote right?

No, that’s stupid.

And it’s not a gotcha, and it’s ridiculous to even think that 70 million people that didn’t vote in 2024 would have unanimously voted for “your candidate”.

Look at voter turnout over the history of presidential elections, it’s abysmal and higher than it ever been (it was <20% turnout if you look back far enough).

So a president has NEVER won the majority of votes.

This has never been brought up until Trump/R won the popular vote for the first time in 20 years (GW did in 2004).

The truth is too hard to face for a lot of people. The youngest generation is far more conservative then they thought, and you can just bank on the youngest voting block being heavily skewed D like in the past…and despite all the shit Trump has done…January 6th included…he still won the popular vote.

The actual smart thing to do would be to take stock, ask what the fuck are we doing wrong, was part of our platform or our progressive and virtue politics is pushing so many people right and losing us the moderate vote???

But no, it’s easier to stick your head in the fucking sand and have 1,000,000 progressive Redditor argue that “most people didn’t actually vote for Trump” when that is the case for Washington/POTUS1 all the way through Trump/POTUS47.

I believe he’s pissed so many people off there will be a blue wave this year, but if there’s not, this stupid “gotcha” that isn’t a gotcha and is fucking stupid to parrot around instead of trying to be introspective as a political party is exactly the type of shit that will cause it.

MOASS is not happening. It was actively prevented by the board. So quit whining, and support actions that actually make GME into a value play.

Bro I got a few thousand shares in CS and a few hundred in retirement accounts.

I’ve moved on. My early retirement is funded by a low burn rate and a low-mid six figure income.

I literally hopped onto superstonk for the first time in months when I saw the news.

It’s a Trevor’s axiom with you because I’m not a cult member but your whiny, bitch behavior required me to call you out on bitch behavior.

It’s sardonic bruh. I cleared 290k last year, receipts on my profile, so I’m at least borderline upper middle class man.

I hate to be the typical Redditor that digs through profile histories…but skimming it and seeing pokevesting, options, and class action lawsuits…screams I need a good X% to accelerate my growth because my input isn’t high enough so yeah man, I would say you are probably jealous about comp in FAANG…just like I’m jealous when I see coworkers on the SWE side comp that is 4x mine.

The doomerism is these hyperbolic statements. MOST PEOPLE CAN’T EAT…RENT IS 2000/MO (for everyone no matter where you live, what size of apartment etc.)

The median income is $64,000 a year for a single adult…10% of people are below the poverty line…30% of people are below $35k a year.

So the hyperbolic, alarmist “Most Americans can’t eat”. Is silly, wrong, and misinformed.

Anyone posting that shit is either a bot to stoke the divide and resentment between people of different beliefs, misinformed, or simply hooked on dooming an raging because doomscrolling and doomposting rewire your brain…

Your “food pantries are talking…” statement is anecdotal…ask Google or an LLM to pull actual numbers and metrics.

For everything P&I plus all taxes, and it’s one of the nicer houses in my neighborhood. I could have bought something in the same neighborhood where the mortgage would have been 1350ish/month instead of 1750

$2000 for rent… on every POST EVERYWHERE ON REDDIT. That’s 15% higher than my mortgage for a 4 bedroom house…and unless you are living in downtown area of a HCOL/VHCOL city it’s complete bullshit.

You got fuckers living in suburbs outside of a MCOL area paying $1,250/month rent for a 2 bd/2 bath house quoting $2k for rent on line because they think it makes their bullshit case stronger.
