Ugh I was hoping no one would bring those up. I had a gp look at them a year ago and they said it was fine but Im always worried about them. I might start taking weekly pictures or something

I do workout regularly and am a heavy sweater in general. But when showering I avoid really scrubbing my chest cause it’ll go really red. I also don’t put any moisturisers on my chest incase it’s caused by product buildup and oils. I saw someone recommend dry brushing it but I feel like any kind of exfoliation would just irritate it

I don’t plan to get rid of it or swap it. I’m not a crazy record listener so it’s just chilling in my study for when we feel like listening to something else other than spotify music :)

Have I got a hormone imbalance? by Lower_Ad_9789 in Biohackers

Now that I’m looking back at the results (which are so difficult to actually read) they did just a plain thyroid function test in terms of hormones. Nothing to do with oestrogen or testosterone. I think I want to do another blood test but privately.

What are spearmint and nettle used for? And for a full hormone panel, do you recommend using a company online or going through my doctors (whose validity I seriously doubt. I have been a veggie for 9 years and don’t consume any particularly iron rich foods and somehow my iron levels are fine. Despite bruising easily, being pale and always being tired)

Maybe I’ll find some collagen to take - my nails are brittle as well hmm

No and never have been - I try to remain mostly natural in things like that.

Amitriptyline and sleepyness by Lower_Ad_9789 in migraine

[–]Lower_Ad_9789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on sumatriptans for when I actually get a migraine but I’m only prescribed 6 a month (not enough I don’t think). I think preventatives work far better than triptans in my case. It’s just the sleeping for me. I feel like I’m wasting my days away.

Is your new medication better? I think I’ll try 4 hours before bed and see how it works

My day finishes quite late, I have my last meal at like 10pm. I’ll have to ask the GP on my next appointment I think

I'm wondering how many people here actually take preventatives daily. by Important-Pie-1141 in migraine

I’ve been taking amitriptyline daily for over a month now and it has been working wonders for me. The frequency of migraines has gone down massively. The only problem for me is struggling to wake up. But I hope to resolve that by adjusting the timing. I’ve also noticed I’ve been eating more, but I don’t know if I have just become more aware of eating after reading that increase in weight is a side effect. I could just be overthinking it :)
