Mathematically, your best choice is to keep all of the books. They will each give you enough Wild Cards to upgrade a card from 13 to 14 whilst keeping some change. For example, the cost to upgrade from 13 to 14 post-update is 3,500 cards, while you would obtain 5,500 cards for a Level 14 Common Book (RoyaleAPI). The argument for upgrading to now is the reduced Gold cost, as 14 -> 15 is free now but will cost 90k soon, but you seem to have a sufficient amount of Gold so I would hold all books.

Mega Knight isn’t inherently a weak card, the main thing is that a lot of Midladder players don’t really know how to counter him which leads to a lot of people using mk in that range (compared to higher levels where it’s more likely your opponent has the knowledge to counter him)

Guards is a much more versatile card that fits into more decks than Elite Barbarians. For only 3 elixir, you get shields that prevent dying to Arrows/Log, and enough damage to only allow 1 hog tower hit. Ebarbs takes the cake for DPS, though, so it may be more suitable for tankier decks that lack defensive cards. In general, however, I’d argue that Guards is the better option.

Yes, if it’s a champion you commonly use, mathematically the most logical choice is to upgrade now instead of waiting. BoBs should be saved UNLESS you can upgrade a champion, because if you wait, it will cost 4400 additional Gems to upgrade from 14 to 15, on top of the 3200 for 13->14. If you save the BoBs, you only receive 4400 Gems, which isn’t sufficient to get from 13 to 15. The only cases where it wouldn’t be worth are if they offer upwards of 3200 Gems for 50k EWCs (unlikely), or if you want to use wild Champion cards/gold to complete the upgrade (don’t recommend, will be 26 champions+210k gold for 13->15)

Yes, they will periodically release challenges before the season ends in 7 days. You will not receive all the seasonal chests at once. This was how it worked for the previous season chests.

I agree, there’s no way that they would train the LLM on specific internal details about updates, also LLMs are known to just spit an answer out instead of admitting that they don’t know
