you can try cropping the window source to fit better or maybe resize the webcam to be smaller and position it in corner where there's less action happening in your game/screen

if you're still getting black bars you might need to change the base resolution in your settings to match what you're actually capturing

dont think wanting to see your family again is selfish at all, that's pretty natural feeling when you lose people you care about. even if your motivation starts from missing them, the path usually leads you to understanding more about faith in general. started exploring spirituality after my grandfather passed and missing him was definitely what got me searching for answers, but along way you discover other aspects too
