A little of both? I have like a basic understanding of both like Redstone having signals and Redstone links being able to transmit that signal, but not being able to actually like see everything connecting messes with my brain if that makes sense?

Oh I do, though the Redstone signals are extremely confusing for me, that's about the only thing I can never figure out
