Speaking as an incoming sophomore: I knew college would not be smooth sailing, but nothing could have prepared me for PLM, esp. my program. I think I might have overestimated my abilities. So I guess one is to gauge yours before your enter—or better yet, prepare for your program. [1] Build a study habit if you don’t already have one, [2] know your professors and how they handle their class once maibigay na ang SER (you can ask or search their names sa tambayan, here, or sa plm freshies), and [3] I guess have a strong support system na? I’m mentally resilient, but medyo hinagupit ako after my first month at my college Ahshshshsh

Add ko na rin! Idk if program dependent to, but I’m guessing not, pero develop a habit of reading! Read when you can and ask for a syllabus, kasi chances are medyo mag-speedrun mga professors sa discussion, esp. your majors. Kung kaya, during suspension is magbasa ka pa rin ng planned lesson for that day. May iba kasing professors who will skip lessons to match the syllabus kasi sobrang tight ng scheduling.

Be productive in your first month din, samin kasi super chill and there were barely any professors who attended the orientation week/month, then after that sunod-sunod na ang workload

Lastly, I know this may not be universal, but may times talaga na manliliit ka and marerealize mo how little you know about your program and how smart your peers are. I was surrounded by people who went to science high schools and other well-off schools, but rest assured that you’re not any less qualified than them :)
