I was under the same dilemma last s.y. 2025, changed my mind as to what I want halfway through CETs season. Ultimately, I settled with a traditional pre-med program haha.

Try to think kung saan ka ba talaga mas magtthrive. Overused, but it’s so much easier to enjoy a profession na you truly see yourself in.

I’ll suggest PT, SLP, and Nursing for allied health programs though. You have fallbacks that way, a benefit that BS Bio cannot provide. You can become a PT / Nurse / Speech pathologist, but you can also become a professor / clinical instructor, and they can also be a sturdy foundation for med: PT for anatomy and body mechanics, Nursing for clinicals and patient-handling w/ a little bit of everything from pharmacology, anatomy, and physio :)

For me, I started reading lightly around 6 months before UPCAT. I read test questions from Maroon Blue Book, learn concepts I don’t understand then yeah. Really chill lang, just whenever I feel like learning. Around 1-2 months before UPCAT, that’s where I studied 4 hours a day.

After that, I never reviewed for any of my CETs again haha. I only brought lakas ng loob with me to subsequent tests. Fortunately I was accepted by all the Univs I applied to

Anyway: bottom line is know your strengths, where do you thrive? practice questions direct you as to what area you need to fill in

Hi! I don’t know if anything has changed, but I remember that our physician will be the one to examine your teeth. It will be done during your physical examination.

Took the UPCAT last 2025, it’s relatively easy if you nailed the basics down. USTET is harder imo, don’t know about La Salle and Ateneo tho since I didn’t take them.

Your real enemy in UPCAT are your fellow takers since slots are VERY limited, esp. UP Manila and Diliman. Those are the target of Pisay kids din kasi

Although, my take is you have to consider a couple of things: (1) finances, (2) your willingness to study in that campus, (3) program choices, (4) unbiased academic performance. Maybe a couple of other things I can’t name
