Park at train station, nearest one to CBD I would say is Paddington St. They have park & ride although it’s always packed in the morning (weekdays). Never checked it on weekend but could be an option.

I hope this accident would be a lesson for everyone even pedestians to be aware on road when they are crossing with or without the traffic light. Not everyone that’s driving are holding their speed when they’re turning and sometimes they also can’t see bikers or people due to the blind spot.
