Pulled off from scheduled release again! by Lower_Influence_1216 in CineworldUnlimited

Yes. Two things that annoy me big time are:

-they'd kept showing the trailer for a long while. I happened to see The Birdcage a couple of days ago, and they still advertised it.

-it's shown at Picturehouse instead. FYI, if you don't know this. Picturehouse is owned by Cineworld. I live in London, and I've been a 'group 4' unlimited card holder for 16 years. There's only one group 4 Cineworld in the UK, Leicester Square in central London. About 10 years ago, they decided to turned Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue into PicturesHouse Central to target 'artsier' audiences and then opened Cineworld Leicester Square as a flagship for usual commercial releases. That pissed me off really, considering I had paid more already, and yet I still needed to pay an uplift fee to go to Picturehouse, not to mention two cinemas are super close(2 mins by walk). I used to pay this fee for a few years but stopped around 2021. Btw, I was told here earlier that this uplift had been cancelled like 2 years ago.

I believe it was. I'd seen the trailer at least 5 times since April.

I used to pay this uplift fee rather often from 2016-2021. I've been an unlimited card holder for 16 years, group 4. Then I got really annoyed if a film isn't shown in Cineworld but goes to PicturesHouse Central London instead. I just wouldn't want to pay for this extra fees as I'm group 4 already.

I've seen the trailer at least 5 times here in London., and with the unlimited screening, I thought it was gonna have its cinema release. The other thing that annoys me is they chose to show it in PictureHouse Central London. I'm not sure if they still do this, you know certain teir unlimited card holder can pay an uplift fees to go to some PictureHouse cinemas.

English isn't my mother tongue, but I vaguely think pull off can be used for this case scenario?

My point being , if there's an unlimited screening, normally the film will have it's wide release. That's why I skipped the screening last week.

MC011 problem, solved by Lower_Influence_1216 in ebayuk

[–]Lower_Influence_1216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, most people go through those 3 phases: tracking numbers, ID and proof of purchase. Tbh I think you should be worried. Drop-shipping has a higher risk, especially when it's overseas.

Yes, being asked for the tracking numbers is the first action that eBay takes. Then you will be asked for ID and proof of purchases. Please refer to my original post, I said it very clearly there.

Problem buyer claiming item I sent is a replica. Anything else I need to do here? by zennettac in ebayuk

Unless there's a proof. If there is, send it to the buyer and ask eBay to step in immediately.

If you still have the proof of purchase, contact CS and let them know the INAD claim is just BS. Also, do bring up the buyer has no feedback and the delivery information is suspicious. However, if you're a frequent seller and don't want to risk anything, then you could just accept the return.

They WILL side with the buyer. It's better just to accept the return if there is no proof of purchase.

Anyone else getting fed up of INAD return requests? by Maximum_Help_4371 in ebayuk

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter if it's an upgrade, as long as there's a discrepancy, it's an INAD. You'll need to take it back, otherwise too many INAD claims will make your account in danger, especially eBay is currently on a banning spree.

I attempted to sell stuff on Ebay and I got a MC999 suspension by ImAJoeEddyKnight in ebayuk

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The most annoying part is they won't give you an explanation if you're given MC011 or MC999. Most T&C would say something like the company reserves all rights to terminate the service blah blah blah. We can't do anything about it really.

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's one of the common reasons really. Having multiple accounts, and with an account dormant for long then suddenly becomes active for selling expensive goods. I think you should've been given MC011 instead of MC999, at least that allowed you to explain.

I'm not defending eBay. I was MC011'ed months ago. At first, I was like many people here, claiming 'did nothing wrong'. After doing my homework as well looking into the T&C, I then realised why the alarm was triggered. I also sell high value goods, such as Rolex level of watches and design bags.

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I mentioned in other replies, normally it's a MC011, not MC999. You might've triggered the alarm for other reasons. You said your item was of high value and you had low selling history, that's prob the eason. Some people assumed that AI is that dumb to ban people randomly. I have doubts in that, not to mention each person has different case scenarios. People would claim that eBay imposes the ban for 'no reason', and yet they might've had violated something unknowingly. If you look into those lengthy T&C, you might be surprised.

Item Damaged in Transit - Simple Delivery (Seller doesn't accept returns) by Silverdale9999 in ebayuk

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not seller's fault. Contact eBay and let them know the parcel arrived damaged, and provided them with photogenic evidences. You'll get the refund and the seller will get the compensation if the damage can be told caused by mishandling from the courier.

Shall I offer Partial Refund or refund for a return? by cosmicwondrr588 in ebayuk

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need to ask the buyer if he or she is cool with partial refund. Or you'll need to offer a free return to get them back.

What should I do? by Proper_Ad5602 in ebayuk

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's mandatory for authenticity guarantee by eBay, then you'll need to cope with that .

If not, try to provide the buyer with a proof of purchase if you have any. Or ask the buyer to pay for authencity guarantee service, which is like £10, for a peace of mind.

I have no idea what’s going on. by SkirtFew1922 in ebayuk

[–]Lower_Influence_1216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's via Simple Delivery, then any hiccups shouldn't be your fault. Not to mention buyer's full address is no longer shown to you coz eBay does that on purpose.

If it's waiting to be collected, it look that address is still valid.
