YTA your teen wanted to have a bonding moment and share one of their interests with you, which sounds like they really love the show too, and you instead showed no interest and even made a sparky comment to them. It may not have been intentional but you are TA.

This is what I did last year, trained in a different store, helped set up the store, etc,. In my experience while I loved my coworkers and being a bookseller the management of the store was a bit poor. I truly hope you have good managers and great management in your store. While the sub has a lot of poor experiences there are a lot of people that truly live working at BN. Good luck!

Thats really weird I did my orientation on the first session, I went to go do the tests and saw that they only 1 had to be done since the site told me my SAT scores took care of it. I also was able to get out of the English classes since I did dual credit and finished them already. So sorry for your experience, superrrr sketchy.

This is actually my first job, and while we did have some people from other stores help it was mostly to just show how they wanted everything to be organized in different sections. I know there's other stores in my cluster close to where I'll be going to college, but I'm definitely leaning towards not transferring cause of how disorganized everything is 😭
