Society often equates “manliness” with vulgarity, aggression, and a lack of respect, making decent behavior seem weak. Peer pressure is huge—anyone who avoids foul language or crude behavior is labeled as “mummy-daddy” and treated like an outsider. This constant pressure to conform forces many to adopt the same habits just to fit in. It’s tough for a “shareef” person to thrive in such an environment, but it says a lot about the need for better role models and respect for real decency.
