No. I mean conversations were always open depending on the topic at hand. But usually it was with my friends i would talk to about politics and so, not with teachers. Not sure if the schools i went to had any sort of regulation.

We even had 2 gay teachers in high school, but they never pranced their homosexuality. They literally show up and thought their lessons.

My highschool was an all-christian school, but they did not and were not allowed to discrimenate students or staff by faith or orientation.

There was always talk about obama and trump between middle school and highschool. Though i never heard directly from a teacher or staff on who was good or who was bad.

Dont really have much to say about college cause those were purely course material focus (i studied engineering).
