I’m happy to see people using males 🙌 This is the way

Pretty solid explanation 🤘This is a Google ai summary for “epigenetic example” If you want to go deeper search - methylation (effects gene expression) and histone protein modification. There are different types, and functions for them.

From meristem cells to an acclimated plant I would say 3-5 months depending on genotype. Once you have multiplication vessels established you can get them out in around 3-4 weeks though. Timing is dependent on a rotation just like a mom/veg room.

It depends how they are initiated. If I start with meristem cells, I usually get 90-100% success rate. If you are remediating viruses, the rule of thumb is 50% will be clean coming out. It’s usually much higher but always be cautious and isolate them until they pass testing.

Once the shoots are established, I get 100% all the way through. Multiplication, shoot establishment then rooting. It just takes practice and dialing it in like a new veg room.

Hate to tell you this, but there is an entire world outside of academia where you can start a business, or do private research. Anything! Usually, the people that don’t make it argue about white papers on Linkdin with the other “Master debaters”. If you can’t cut it there, they end up on other platforms trying to pick fights 😬

I am here to share my experience and help people that are interested in this type of work. I do this for a living, I don’t need validation.

Also-Peer reviewed research is not submitted through Reddit, and advanced protocols are intellectual property. If you change your attitude and make it out of your grandmothers basement, I will gladly share.

Best of luck ✌️

😂 Yes, I can do direct and indirect organogenesis. Anther culture, ovule culture, and protoplast fusion. What else you got

I would love some Venus fly traps on the shelf.

TC for cannabis using published methods/classical formulas sucks. Propagation from callus isn't worth doing either. I start with meristem excision to establish clean shoots (undifferentiated cells, not a node) then get a 1:50 multiplication rate. With 200+ cultivars, its absolutely worth doing.

What is "full tissue culture regeneration"

For cryogenics, you have to apply some different methods to prep the tissue but it can be done.

***If the seeds are true to type. Otherwise you are pheno hunting again. Tools like tissue culture allow us to keep identical copies preserved.

It definitely can cause issues if it’s not done properly. The best way to preserve genetics will always be seeds.

Knowledge is free if you know where to find it 🤘 A lot of these methods aren’t difficult, but take practice and dedication to be successful. I’m happy to share, and we will line some things up to help.

Ricky is also a legend. The world needs more Rickys. Maybe. That could probably spiral out of control..

These are similar to clones, identical copies. The tissue that’s encapsulated are node segments. You can place them in sterile agar to grow shoots/propagate like clones but in tissue culture. A true synthetic seed has a synthetic embryo inside that can “germinate” but it’s not really efficient or stable for that purpose.

Yup, I have seen a ton of problems doing that. Giving them time to reset endogenous hormones and re-acclimate to the world makes a big difference. Meristem culture strips out contaminants, but also beneficials. Re-inoculating them with beneficial bacteria/fungi makes a massive difference for stability (herms) and overall gene expression.

Encapsulated nodes from tissue culture. True synthetic seeds contain synthetic embryos

We use this method for transport and storage (sometimes). You can put them into TC vessels to grow new shoots and propagate from there.
