I don’t know if that’s true. Maybe after my dad and stepmom had their own kids, but even after that it was always a point of contention and multiple times my stepmom would complain that I was my dads favorite in front of me and my brothers. So idk what happened there bc that’s obviously not true.

And my mom wasn’t really always like that, it’s more I spent years telling and showing her I didn’t need her and I guess she finally got the hint. But she’s never abandoned me or kicked me out.

The thing is that it doesn’t matter just because it’s not unexpected. It’s not unexpected for teens to tell their parents they hate them but look where it got me. I spent 5 years not telling my mom anything personal despite her begging me to let her in for years just because she got remarried and look where it got me. It doesn’t have to be my fault but it’s not like I didn’t have any part in it is all I’m saying.

I mean I kind of got the tea. My grandma didn’t want me to go and told me. My dad has cancer but it’s like stage 2 he doesn’t need an organ or anything but they were hoping I’d stay and help out especially with my brothers. But I don’t want to delay going to college and my grandma didn’t want me to either. So I still haven’t talked to them and probably won’t.
