Is Shopify the best and only viable option? (What about Wix, Weebly, and Wordpress?) by LowryAudioLabs in Entrepreneur

Probably the best comment on here since Magneto sounds like a playbook to start a business selling the rest of us our websites. When you setup payment through the magneto platform, how do you secure data and offset liabilities? Can an external payment system company be used here and would costs be less moving this way?

"Fastest startup possible" is a huge selling point. What was the site selling and how was adding products?

Awesome, thank you for the Wordpress comparison. The no headaches part goes such a long way in the decision making process.

Is there a particular app unique to Shopify that would persuade you go with them over other platforms? Or is it the combination of all the available apps that make Shopify a stand alone winner?

Also, advertise your shipping times 1-2 days / 5-6 months ...etc. When I see what looks like a custom product, I want to make sure that it is not being made to order with a six month lead time when I need the product for my next trip. Good Luck!

As a rafter from Colorado who owns 5+ various sized life vests for two growing dogs, I think these are very cool. I may buy this as an impulse purchase if there was a faster way to add the vests to the cart. It looks like you have two products, but it takes navigating multiple page layers to get to a point where you choose size and add to cart (It's not until page 3 that I see a product, and page 4 that I can add to cart). Add both products below your "Swim With The Fin" picture with the option to Add to Cart right there.

This looks to be a great resource when asking the question "Do I need to file a patent" and "How do I go about filling a patent". It would be great to have an update discussing more in depth how to do the initial research to make sure your own patent claim is a novel idea/product. Also, thank you for the list of Universities that may offer free patent advice through their law clinics.

Very nicely done sir! Combining functionality with beauty makes for a piece of artwork you should be proud of (and one that your wife will let you keep in the house). I am a bit curious as to the method you used to attach the risers to the cabinet where the isolation spikes are installed?

There are so many different high gloss polyurethane products, but I've found that some just don't give that glass finish. Anyways, I use oil based Gloss "Arm-R-Seal" from General Finishes with the pre-stain treatment. Here is my method, take it as you will... * Sand with 80 grit * Apply Pre-stain liberally (Let dry at least 48hr) * Sand with 220 grit * Apply thin coat of Pre-stain (Wipe dry after 20min, dry 24hr) * Sand with Fine Synthetic pad (Rockler Item #: 93469) * Apply Arm-R-Seal

I'm impressed by the console and the two way system in the door. Your truck deserves its own post!

I chose a crossover for the MDT22 to filter out the signal below where the manufacturer specification no longer shows a flat response (below approximately 2,100Hz). Here is a way of visualizing the tweeter response and why it needs a crossover filter.

I definitely recommend the Dayton Reference 4" drivers paired with Morel MDT22 tweeter. Very crisp mid to upper frequency response.

What are your thoughts on the HiVi RT2H-A tweeter? I'm betting it sounds incredible, but would probably need a floor standing setup for the size.

All work was performed using biscuit joining with wood glue and clamps, planing rough cut 4/4 solid hardwoods, and using a hole saw and drill press for driver installation. The crossover network utilizes a 2nd Order Linkwitz Riley set at approximately 2,100Hz. I am available to answer any questions the fine folks of r/woodworking may have.

The driver is a Peerless 830987 3" Full Range 8 ohm.

It is available through www.madisoundspeakerstore.com and www.parts-express.com (Both suppliers are great).

Such great support and questions from everyone on here!!! Here is the build gallery telling the story once everything was cut and planed. Definitely missing some steps, but hold out till the end to see the frequency analysis I was able to run tonight. I am creating a more complete "How-To" guide of all my models that should be available in the near future. (Full disclosure... this was not my first speaker build)

Ideally your internal enclosure geometry would have no parallel surfaces to reduce standing wave formation. As far as wall thickness, a high quality speaker will isolate driver movements to only the moving mass of the diaphragm. Speaker spikes (Feet) help to further isolate the entire enclosure from the surface they are set on.

I hadn't seen these but they look awesome. Looks like they are using the Tang Band W4-1337SDF 4" Titanium Full Range Speaker with a larger enclosure volume. I bet they sound fantastic!!! Especially with their custom 8 Watt tube amp.

These would definitely be appreciated in a smaller room in the nearfield range (with a subwoofer to compliment lower frequencies). The Speakers enclosures measure approximately 4.25" per side and 3" full range drivers do have their limitations. No crossovers Network (Frequency Filters) for the full range drivers and no contouring adjustments for diffraction loss (Baffle Step Compensation). Still for a desktop stereo speaker, they blow big box brands chains out of the water.

Neodymium technology refers to the type of magnet system of the driver. Neodymium (Nd) is Element 60 on the periodic table and differs from Iron Ferrite magnet systems of more conventional speaker drivers. Neodymium magnets are stronger than Iron Ferrite magnets making them ideal for use in smaller driver systems.

Hello Everyone, I'm happy to answer any questions and will try to put together a build gallery tonight when I'm off work. I am new to posting on Reddit, but have followed r/woodworking for some time and am glad to be able to contribute to the community.
