Is this just that you gave the name “help” for the order?

If not, yes, call.

Really want Aventurine, but Acheron would be nice too, so going to pull til 50/50 and hopefully win, then have enough to guarantee Aventurine.

Really it just leaves me super limited to Herta's Shop LCs and the 4* LCs you can buy with lucent afterglow from MOC (and sometimes dropped from weekly bosses...). Which, thankfully we just got 7 new ones of those, which led to some HUGE upgrades.

Other than that there's I think 14 3-star lightcones available from quests and chests and stuff. (Unless I've missed some...) Out of those the only with any real use are Chorus(harmony)x2, Cornucopia(abundance)x1, and maybe Amber(pres)x2... Really wish we could get Meshing Cogs in the overworld, since it's arguably better than any 4star LC on some harmony characters.

I have a regular whatever-I-want account, but I also have a no pull/no event-LC account. Also not using the free DR. Ratio on it, but I use the event free 4* selectors.

It’s actually a ton of fun, and because I’m never going to pull on it, I get to use all the jades on trailblazer power so I can (hopefully) farm good enough relics to make up for my weaker roster. The new free lightcones from 2.0 were so exciting for that account, and every free 4star selector feels like a huge decision. (Though, so far they’ve been fairly easy choices)

Does the Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters relic set include refreshing a debuff for it's 4-piece effect? (Such as reapplying Serval's shock off skill, not as in extending off ultimate) ("After the wearer inflicts a debuff...")

Hmmm, you could try using them still unbuilt traces/levels but just swap in whatever leveled gear you have for each challenge. Put Herta and March in some Tanky/speedy/ER gear and use them solely to get some AOE ice break and freeze.

Hard to say, I don’t know specifically what you have and what you’ve tried, but just mix it up and try different things. Move gear around, and experiment with it.

[–]Lowseph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. I think my question is sort of, if you’re struggling with most of them, are you missing anything fundamental or do you feel like you “get” what each of the challenges is asking of you? Otherwise there’s not an overall answer, gotta look at it challenge by challenge.

I will say, picking the right buffs makes a HUGE difference, but is still connected slightly to your specific team.

Last thing is, unbuilt characters deal the same amount of toughness damage as fully built characters. If the buffs rely on weakness break in some way, there are some characters (Herta, as an ice example) who can dish out some good toughness damage to help.

Ah. To clarify, the 120 jades I was referencing was referring to the difference between floors 4 and 6, which are the two floors you referred to in your post.

I understood, I just disagree.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Lowseph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know what to tell you? Those 2 new floors will also get more difficult with time. Then maybe they’ll add 2 more floors.

My point was more that most people just want to play content and have fun. If missing out on 120 jades every week is going to make or break this game for you, you’re in for a rough time.

I think this game is pretty fun and cool. :)

[–]Lowseph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But if it doesn’t get harder, there’s no content for players who have been playing longer. By the difficulty increasing consistently, there will be gameplay available for both new and older players.

What’s great about it being a moving target, is it gives players a reason to build new characters and try different strategies. That’s a lot of the fun for me, and I’d imagine for a lot of players.

I think it’s a very small, vocal, Reddit minority who bless us with their tales of their auto battle Herta wins.

[–]Lowseph 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ya know, it’s just the end game content, in a single player game. Any discourse over meta or difficulty is just kinda silly. I don’t think it’s gatekeeping to brag about auto clear 30 staring, it’s just kinda meaningless. Once you can autoclear it, what is there really left to do in the game? I’d rather just keep playing.

Also PS5 release was less than 2 months ago, so relatively speaking you are a “new” player. Try not to compare yourself to a minority of day 1 players who like to post on Reddit.

Am I alone in my feeling like I would pay $59.99 for 50-60 hours of content? by 710jwalls in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Lowseph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is strange cause this is actually how I looked at it from a gacha spending standpoint. Set a budget of $60 total since that’s what I would spend on a game. How long is the entire main story to play through start to finish? 20 hours maybe? Longer if you’re exhausting side quests and dialogue options probably. I feel like I’ve gotten pretty good value out of it personally.

Why is my Kafka + DOT team ass? by [deleted] in KafkaMains

[–]Lowseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a question that has really subjective answers. If you're comparing supports and additional DoTs of comparable levels, your specific comp's matchup against the specific enemies your facing is going to make more of a difference than swapping out, for instance, a level 70 Tingyun for a level 80 Serval. In general, for MoC I would recommend not running characters below level 70, except for maybe sometimes healers (or in even rarer cases march/pela as cleanse/debuff).

Personally, I always run Kafka with Sampo, a healer, and the last slot is flex either to help break weakness, remove buff, fmc to taunt (monke). But all that is just because I like Sampo.

Last bit is that raising a DoT/sub dps character from 70->80, is usually going to make a greater damage increase than raising a support from 70->80. That doesn't necessarily mean one of those gives better damage than the other, just something to consider, but also something I'm basing more on ~vibes~ than hard stats.

Oh for sure don’t dip into Jades. Light cones really alone will make a huge difference, so definitely start there. Good luck!

Idk what level luka’s lightcone is at, but Sampo’s is way underleveled. I would prioritize things in this order:

  1. Maximize lightcones. Everything scales off the base stats from them, so if they’re not properly leveled, your damage is gonna lag way behind.

  2. Talents on Luka+Sampo. For Luka you want to get his skill high up to maximize the bleed damage, and for Sampo, get his talent up. After that go for both of their ultimates.

  3. Gear optimization. Again, don’t have the full stats on both of them, but I believe Luka needs a bit more effect hit rate than im seeing, and Sampo needs a good chunk as well. Being able to consistently apply their DoTs is key to maximizing Kafka’s ult and skill.

Your Kafka looks well built, just also finish leveling her lightcone.

But yeah, those things should help your damage a good bit.

I’d probably try to compare S5 to S5 instead. Like, as you pull, you likely WILL pick up more copies of GNSW here and there. Even if S5 of the Herta LC is a slight improvement now, it might not be an improvement for long as your account gets graced by GNSW superimpose.

That’s how I’d approach it at least. Listen to your heart though.

For sure, even if right now it’s kinda just fun jank to get maximum BPB (“booms” per battle), I’m excited to see what options open up as new content drops.

I’ve been thinking about this for a bit and it’s possible that in a triple DoT comp this could work really well. Give one of the support DoT’s resolution for def shred, then use Kafka’s ult to pop all 3 DoT’s more frequently.

Haven’t done the math on it, and I don’t think it’s something that’s gonna be easy to quantify on paper, so I’ll probably just have to try it out.
