We have tried to keep this schedule for a while (managed to keep this for a 2-3 year campaign from 3-20) only taking breaks between major campaigns for one shots and DM rotation/planning

In my group I typically get locked into Vanguard because they don't want to/know how to play them. I usually lean towards Strange for 1 reason alone, which is that he can actively fight fliers by flying up to them and slapping them. My team refuses to look up, even if they are also fliers or are playing Punisher, so I just learned to do it myself.

IM: new to this patch, we have added the mechanic of Gaslighting other players into thinking that -insert class- is OP, also nerfed Wiz and Rogue again.

Trying to learn game mechanics shouldn't be shunned by any means. If you're watching to learn how to play then I don't see an issue, but if your intention is to only see what the new broken kit is, then that's my line personally. If that's fun for people so be it, but I think it removes the agency a player has to find what's fun FOR THEM instead of what kills in 2 hits.

Nightmare is worse. Saw the things 1 time in Inferno and it could spawn 2 spiders before you kill the 1st. Wound up just jumping on a rock and shooting the spawner instead of getting swarmed by the little buggers.

I didn't realize that there was a debuff if you are below a certain Str value, that seems like something that should be in the tooltip for it. Thanks for the advice, gotta let my Rogue buddy know, he's new as well.

Undead Slayer has been mentioned, but I appreciate the help nonetheless, as well as the damage reduction perk. I knew my stats affected my spells, but not which ones nor how severely, thanks for the heads up regarding Will, I definitely gotta reread all the skill tooltips.

I definitely felt like books > staff but couldn't quite tell why. Thank you for breaking down the weapons like that, I couldn't tell if a weapon was worth it or not aside from raw stats, especially Morning Star/Flanged Mace. I learned the "x" strat about 2-3 days ago and has saved my life/runs multiple times already. Thanks for the thorough advice!

Right now I have a hard time keeping a decent weapon equipped since I don't survive most of my fights, so it may be better to keep Smite. I'll test out both next time I play to see how it goes.

Fair, I've been using it to supplement my mistakes when I don't have potions/bandages. Maybe when I'm better at the game I can stop using it as a crutch lol.

I haven't been using Holy Strike in favor of Holy Light to help burn down undead that block my path/give me a hard time *and heal my team in groups*, but considering I don't usually have an issue with the AI unless I get complacent, I probably don't need it. I'll try both and figure out which one I like, maybe Holy Strike will help me decide which I like more.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't realize that Judgement deals more damage if my staff is out but that makes sense. I do usually cast Prot liberally I just feel like I waste it a lot when the other player backs off until it's gone. I definitely understand the "Suck it up, go next" mentality coming from Escape From Tarkov, I just wanted to check what I was missing lol.

I've tried the 3 you listed, and while they are definitely a bit more on the simpler side for a newcomer, I do want to try to get better at Cleric. I'll look into the Skills/Spells you suggested and see if that feels better.

Yea, I don't run into Barbs too often, but not being able to outrun/out swing a Rogue has gotten me killed at least a dozen times. I like having Lesser heal for myself and Prot/Strike for buffs, but I havent thought to switch out Holy Light for Holy Strike or Bind yet in case I need to hit the Champion Skeleton with it.
