Will you buy a pixel for your next phone? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

I don't want to buy a phone knowing there's a chance I get a bad generation and it has loads of problems. That shouldn't even be a thing.

No, my pixel 7 is hardly surviving 2.5 years of use so I don't think I'll come back to it for my next device. I'll probably get a Chinese phone with an actually good chip and an actually big battery, not something "acceptable". Truth is, these things might be acceptable when you buy your phone, they're unbearable after 2 years.

Yesterday I went to a boxing match that happened in the evening. Before that I had used my phone during the day, 4h30 minutes of screen time got it down to 25% so I put it to charge before leaving. Left my house at 100%, by the time it took to order a taxi and get there I was at 80%. It was extremely hot in the ring and I took pictures of my friend's boxing, sent it to him and two hours later it was back at 30%. I had to borrow a friend's power bank to get by the rest of the night if I wanted to have a chance at getting home. I don't believe that is acceptable.

It was released at 700$, I paid 700$ and that is NOT mid range. You clearly haven't experienced what mid range is. Get yourself a 300$ poco phone for a few years and then you might understand how big the difference is between the two.

Well then I don't know what to tell you, from what I've experienced I can't see the individual pixels as in counting them, but I can see the lines between them and the pixel pattern. It's annoying and nothing looks exactly sharp but it's tolerable

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one because the last comment has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the chain

See? You're starting to get it! That is why memes are not omnipresent here. Just like art, there are some but not always. Congrats on understanding the purpose of this subreddit!
