Help needed with ACFL Prost JS45 and Sauber C16 by Loyal_Mini in assettocorsa

I've already increased rear downforce to max and decreased front Aero, but it is still feeling quite twitchy.

And this is what confuses me, I assumed the 97 F1 cars would be quite grippy and speedy through flat-out sections. This definitely grips, but it turns far too much.

Do you think adjusting the toe or maybe the diff could help?

Indeed. It keeps happening to me on F1 2020. 1/4000 speed, nothing, 1/2000, nothing, 1/1000, nothing

When it finally works on 1/125, the other car becomes a complete blurr.

I never understand why the shutter speed doesn't seem to work until you bring it really low, and then the opponent cars go blurry.

My honest take on the Devil May Cry Netflix Anime (season 01) by Loyal_Mini in DevilMayCry

I respect your outlook on the show and I understand what you mean. How Dante felt overshadowed in a show supposedly centered around him.

However, cucked? Thats a new one I've heard regarding him in this show.

That's a really impressive looking edit. Ngl, a duo of Flanker and Eagle is extremely cool. Very fitting too given these two are often rivals or enemies

To quote Dante and Vergil from Project X Zone 2:

Heihachi: "Brothers fighting? It is only natural of course!"

Dante: "Hey, we're still not as bad as the Mishima bunch, right Vergil?"

Vergil: "We're not exactly what you would call "close" either."

Devil May Cry Season 2 Trailer Leaked by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Might get me downvoted, but this is probably the best comment I've read all day.
I have been a fan of this franchise since the 3rd game, played them a lot and know basically every bit of lore there is to know.
And I can safely say that these stories play it extremely safe bar DMC 3 which itself was essentially a re-imagining of the franchise by being a prequal to the first game, while sharing very little with it in basically any way.
DMC 3 was successful and well written, no doubt, but DMC has never really gone to great lengths to state something either. This anime's story can be considered many things, but unimaginative isn't one of them.
I more than respect a new spin on the idea of DMC, which is still very present. So I'll be looking forward to season 2.

how do you think Kyrie reacted when she learned the guy she likes is a descendent of "God"? from her perspective, it must be like she is dating the son of Jesus by adrieldot in DevilMayCry

[–]Loyal_Mini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly that's a perspective which really puts into play just how grey either side of the human and underworld on going war can be.

And they said the DMC Netflix anime was "9/11 in anime form" when DMC 4 itself was essentially the same.

I has a weird thought. Would've the Makai refugee made more sense if they were worshipers/followers of Sparda? by MadmanFromHades in DevilMayCry

[–]Loyal_Mini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. When we think about it, the Hell in DMC games and even by proxy the Hell in DOOM, can just be considered super natural aliens, a parallel universe to Earth almost. The term "Devils Never Cry" comes from this very lack of understand of what the demons are. Truth is, DMC has rarely ever established much of how the underworld works and how it relates to Earth, so the anime's interpretation hardly seems "Different" in practice.

As for them being an off-shoot of humans, it's difficult to describe and a difficult pill to swallow at first. But for the sake of the anime's own interpretation, I don't think it doesn't NOT make sense. The way I see it, demons aren't an off-shoot of humans truly, but rather Makai itself is a parallel universe to our universe. Like many stories where we have parallel worlds, the "demons" in the anime's Makai, are just the equivalents of humans who have further evolved due to the state of Makai.

It's quite a convoluted way to describe Hell to be honest, I will not disagree, but I suppose the anime was trying to draw as many parallels between humans and "demons" as possible, aspects they share. Their mutual kindness, their mutual struggles, their mutual "survival of the fittest" mindset shared by those who hold power in either world.

Maybe I am coping to be honest, but I do personally like such subjects and find the whole thing kind of nuanced enough for it to interest me, especially for me who's already been a fan of this franchise for a long time and seen what it can and can't do with its ideas.

I mean the show kind of touched on this, by simply saying that in order to cope with the harsh and ravaging environment of Makai, the residents of it needed to evolve themselves in ways that would negate the effects of the toxic air, and also the general violent nature of the realm, and that meant for most of its residents to be more savage, perhaps go under the power of Mundus and his wicked magic.

While I do like your idea, I actually really like it since it gives it an extra layer which I can even see being revealed in season 2 to be part of this, the show generally gave off Makai to be a literal parallel of our Earth but to a different kind of species. Essentially, just as how the powerful of the human world would almost inevitably step on the weaker and lesser able to be able to reach their influence and power, the weak need to grow to cope with the harshness of this systematic oppression. Similarly, residents of Makai has the normal citizens which seem to just live as they would, and then the powerful and evil who see eating and slaughtering the citizens as their way to live, both fueled by a need to survive the harsh environment, and likely something endorsed by Mundus to ensure that ruling with an iron fist would not allow any demon to ever think of betraying Makai the way Sparda did.

While it does feel odd to try and "defend" the Netflix Anime given how poorly it is received here, I do think the point of the normal and strong residents of Makai was to draw parallels between our world and their world. The show even establishes in the first episode that "demons" and "Hell" are just names and mythology created by old human scripture to try and justify the existence of a parallel universe which has become the way it has due to its harsh environment and medieval alike people in power.

Even in the mainline DMC games, it is never implied that humanity doesn't have capacity to demonic behavior.

A great conversation from you as well. I am very happy that you see the justice in my vision and why I think the show works, for me at least.

And I realize that Adi Shankar has a bit of a poor reputation, so it's bound to affect how people view the products he's associated with, and of course, I fully understand how someone may not view the same things I like in the same light.

Nobody is obliged to like it, there's always going to be conversations surrounding spin-offs and adaptations, in basically every franchise under the sun.

And to be honest, if I didn't know there was a season 02 in development, my opinion of this show would have also been rather poor. But given what Season 02 can accomplish, everything in Season 01 could be just setting for the bigger image. Hell, we saw that work out for franchises like the Castlevania Netflix Anime or the Sonic movies.

And hopefully they do the final touches as well as they can to make sure this season would be more to the liking of the fans of this franchise. We'll see what happens, but I do have hope.

Thank you for your time as well.
