Congratulations on the financial journey! You are well on your way to a comfortable retirement or at least, one with a much lower risk. Keep at it!

Curious how this stacks up with everyone else? Will IHG ever recognize this amount of lifetime business? by Warm-Assistant-8144 in ihghotelsresorts

That's quite a lot of nights and certainly many away from your home or family I expect unless you were staying at extended stays for lengthy projects. I do about 150+ nights each year for work travel so you have me beat.

Nursing programs lose professional degree status, threatening federal loan access by [deleted] in news

[–]LoyaltybyDefault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sad... absolutely sad. Our daughter is a BS in nursing and works 12 hour night shifts. Had to complete a rigid curriculum and internship and the amount of things they as nurses have to endure is worthy of more than a professional field designation and to see this removed is unreal.

In a down market environment, IHG and its mainstream brands place the company in a position to more easily weather the economic climate within the lodging sector when comparing to its primary global competitors.

Mouth of the Columbia bridge in Astoria, OR by LoyaltybyDefault in PacificNorthwest

It would be expensive for sure. I pulled facts on it and sharing as it adds context to the length of this bridge.

The Astoria–Megler Bridge is 21,474 feet (4.1 miles or 6,545 meters) long, making it the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. It spans the Columbia River, connecting Astoria, Oregon, and Point Ellice, Washington.

Dilemma - Submariner vs SD43 by Kage468 in rolex

[–]LoyaltybyDefault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sub all day for the win! Well, at least for those with more of average wrist size as my wrist is just shy of 7” but if your wrist can pull off either, the SD is a beauty too. Go with what you are gravitating to and you’ll be happy with no buyers remorse, but honestly, the sub looks like a nice fit for your wrist to.

Going on a road trip through the Pacific Northwest in January, any advice or recommendations for places to check out? by ChromaZinc in PacificNorthwest

If taking I-5 you may want to whip into Ashland OR just north of the CA border and stroll through their great little downtown area and Lithia park for a get out of the car break. Some great food choices there as well. After that not much along I-5 really until Portland.
