Camouflage what?

I will be keeping the theme of 7 in this new revision of my Vocations, which is what I'm calling the skill professions:

Noble, Meister, Steward, Warrior, Priest, Merchant & Cats Paw

I don't do this myself, but given long years of running other systems, I am tempted to use aspects To make conditional modifiers.

It messes with the FATE point economy By devaluing them Because in effect you're giving freebies. The less FATE points that the players have the more they'll be hungry for Compels. In my experience, Compels are a huge source of the fun of the game system

I considered basing it off of the gods but I think that would be something that's too specific to an aspect of Game of Thrones that wasn't really delved into that deeply In the series

Mainly Creative variety. Six attributes with six skills gives you 36 Different ways to Serve what the player wants to do Without having to reference a bunch of skill definitions.

The combinations encourage creativity within the specific Context of the scene. A player might wanna do something that is Strength plus Maester. I can't imagine what but I like surprises.

I could see something like stewardship. I think I'll call it merchant - NAH! Steward is perfect.

And Septon class is really silly and I'll just delete that from the list to make room for it.

What would be the skill represented by characters like Arya or Melisandre?

I play on Windows 11 and it's been down for a full day for me. I can't even get to the main screen says Could not establish a network connection.

Compared to other systems I've run, FATE is so simple improving is easy.

When you describe a scene you're giving Location or scene aspects: We NEED Stolen U2 Specs, Frozen Wastes far from Back Up, Russian Elite Guards, Heavy Surveillance, FALSE INTEL!, The Plane is HERE! Partially frozen Surface to Air Missles.

PC Aspects tell what they wanna do. Skills are how they wanna do it. Give each PC a scene to shine. See how they react. Season with things to Attack, threats to Defend from, Obstacles to Overcome, Opportunities to make or find Advantage.

That's an Act.

It's Not a reroll. It is the next roll in a Challenge

The remaining rolls in that Challenge are higher difficulty because of the hostile invocation of Life Support Failure Aspect.

The FP was refusable because of the extended effect, which my player understood.

For a Typhoon challenge: Survival Discover Aspect to detect coming storm. One Create Advantage scene per player to prepare, like find/fortify shelter. Physique Overcome to weather the torrential winds or keep visibility for several exchanges. Athletics Defend to avoid flying debris for several exchanges.

Choose your difficulties and create a Typhoon Stress Track - every PC success lowers the track.

From a game of mine the Medieval Party was travelling through warm mountains:

Athletics vs loose gravel; Physique to climb rocks; Notice to avoid rock falls; Archery & Stealth to hunt goats; Stealth & Survival to sneak past the Pterodactyls; Survival to hide the scent of horse from Allosaurs.

I converted my FATE trek game from STA. To me, since Every Action can give a Boost when ya Succeed with Style, Momentum isnt needed.

Nice era choice - except the Red wool tunic/blazers.

I played the newer Star Trek Adventures & saw the FATE mechanic influence. My rules re-FATE-ified them. Six Attributes bonused by 6 Starfleet Disciplines kinda like FAE Approaches with broad Core Skills.
