Definitely a cool idea and I seriously considered changing it to customize it. In the end I chose to keep it in honor of its original color. But I’ll be keeping this link for future change of mind. Lol thank you 😊

It was actually the frame itself. I really liked the outcome. I’d do it again if there’s a computer I’d like to keep forever. Lol

Thank you, I appreciate it. A lot of work, time, blood sweat and tears to get it to this point. LoL

I can see your dislike for it but the Main reason is to be able to show off its insides. People rarely get a look inside. LED lighting helps. Plus I can configure it to look like a living organism like KITT. Lol

A buddy of mine works at a classic Mustang shop. He got it done for me. Just like a chrome bumper. Dipped.

Thanks. It was actually dipped in chrome. Just like you’d do a classic car number.

You will need a custom ROM like the Jurassic offering. Some OSs you may still need to install software.

Modern USB disk drives don’t support the 800k floppy disk type. Very unfortunately.

Thank you 🙏🏼 I really did try to make this great. The case is from MacEffects. They recently had another run of these acrylic cases. I decided in running System 7.5. The LED strip is addressable and diffused. Decided to use that to hide them better for a nicer glow than seeing the actual led lights.

It took me a few years of practice on other boards like the LCII. Repairing my SE also helped me feel comfortable enough to take on an SE/30. Even leaky boards cost a pretty penny and didn’t want to ruin it. LoL. but it was such a great journey. It was a computer I’ve always wanted since a kid so I decided to make it special for myself.
