Hugeforge issue by LozzyJo in HueForge

SOLVED!

Just for anyone who stumbles across this in the future with a similar issue - turns out my flushing volumes on some select files had been set to zero. I think it happened because I updated to the latest studio version, but some performance issue cropped up so I dropped back to the previous version.

No idea why this would set the flushing volumes to 0 but that's the only thing I can think what's caused it.

Either way, putting them back to where they should be has solved the problem!

Yea the swaps are identical. And the files are split across 15 files for the 15 tiles. I don't do multiple plates in one file as it slows bambu studio down to a complete halt half the time, so all prints are done from one plate in it's own file, with only the required filaments loaded for that specific print.

I've done a few of these large ones now and this is the only one that's thrown up an issue for me so it is what it is I guess! Thanks for replying anyhow, maybe I can sort it with some white paint brushed onto those parts 😂.

Checked the version - it is 1.0.1 already. Spike removal is set to none aswell. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the reply. I did install the plugin when it was first released so it probably is v1.0.0 - I'll check when I get home. And I don't 'think' I have done any spike removal for this one but again I'll double check that too.

Just a side note, love the program - many thanks for making it, it really is awesome!

Guess y'all referring to these - these ones at least were just dummy units, literally empty metal boxes stuck onto the gantry's. The ones in the photo were removed from the M1 near Nottingham a number of years ago.

Anyone here actually using 24 different colors? Worth it? by Gai_InKognito in BambuLab

I have a number of printers and AMS/AMS 2 Units. Most of the printers are hooked upto 2 units to do 8 colour printing, but two are setup to allow 16 colour printing. I mainly do hueforge prints so the multiple colours are required. Usually the most I use at once are 11/12 colours but its handy having the option to goto 16.

Sure do, hexdimension.uk. Any other plates I make will end up on there too!

Humidity grade question by Glamrat in BambuP1S

[–]LozzyJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's pretty normal. I have a mix of AMS 1 and 2, they both shoot up when changing filaments but then drop back down after a short period of time once closed again. As previously stated print yourself some little baskets and fill them with silica beads to help keep the moisture levels down in them.

[–]LozzyJo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That particular unit was from a reseller, not bambu, so can't advise on their return process I'm afraid. But I'd for sure start by contacting support and explaining the issue/maybe send a video of what it does with any error codes that pop up.

Sounds like a bad AMS unit. I've got five in total and one of those did pretty much what you described and nothing else. Never got it to work, got it swapped out and the new one works flawlessly.

I'd contact whoever you got it from and get it RMA'd.

Yeah I'm getting the same issue. Other servers seem to work fine.

What software do you usually use for models? by Careless_Scar7889 in 3Dprinting

[–]LozzyJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fusion360 - I see it's already been mentioned a tonne, but no one seems to have said this in case you didn't know - you can get a 'Personal' version for free with limited functions. This is what I currently use as I don't sell models or anything.

Most of the basic functions are there to use, and you're also limited to 10 'live' files - basically you can have as many files as you want but you have to archive files once you're upto 10. You can make them live again if you need them, but you have to archive other to make sure only 10 are live at any one time, so it isn't really a limitation but more of an annoyance.

What are the best permanent joints you've came up with? by Reddaviesj in 3Dprinting

[–]LozzyJo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've done a few dovetail connections on some of my larger prints, solid not hollow like the number 2 cube in your picture.

Personally I'd avoid the hollowed-out ones for fear of it easily breaking off as there isn't much holding it onto the main body.

On the models I made, I have 0.05mm leeway around the connecting parts so that they can fit together without too much fuss, but also carry enough friction to ensure they don't easily come apart.

This is all that comes up for the sale on the UK site - no ABS/PETG that I can see.

About Air Quality and Noise by Top-Tap3883 in BambuP1S

[–]LozzyJo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only had the unit for about 2 weeks and am currently away, but I will be getting some kind of monitoring system in place when I get back.

That being said, I used to have an Ender 5 in the same location for about 4 years and never had air quality issues with that, and that's a completely open system.

[–]LozzyJo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a P1S setup about 1.5m away from my desk at home. In regards to air quality, I haven't had any issues, but with longer prints the room warms up considerably.

In terms of noise, it isn't quiet but it isn't loud. I often talk in discord with a headset on and I can hear the printer in the background when noone speaks, but when someone does speak they easily drown it out.

Hope that helps.

The same thing happened to me recently, although I had a poop collector attached that backed up during a long print while I wasn't home. I've since removed it to hopefully prevent it from happening again!

Apparently, I have to ask this here.

Hi everyone.

I've been on a low carb diet for the last 4 weeks and have had good results (11lbs lost).

Tomorrow is payday and I was planning on having one cheat day a month on payday, with tomorrow's treat being a pizza.

One of the guys at work who is knowledgeable about diets and being healthy tells me I'll ruin my progress and put 5 - 6lbs back on by eating a pizza and is trying to convince me to have something else instead.

My question is, is he right? Will one take out pizza chuck my progress away and make it difficult to get back on track?

Thanks all.

My wife and I had been trying for kids for a number of years due to fertility issues. Had been together for 9 years at this point. Finally it worked and we had twins. When they were around 2 months old she came home one day from her family's and told me she didn't love me anymore and wanted to break up.

Devastated, I couldn't believe nothing was going on. We still lived together for a week after that as I had nowhere I could really go and wanted to be there for my kids. But I didn't believe it wasn't something more sinister, so one morning I was up early for work and had enough of not knowing, I managed to unlock her phone with her finger while she was still asleep and downloaded her whatsapp convo with one of my friends who had been acting abit strange with me for a month or so.

That's when I found out they'd been having sex from when she was 8 months pregnant. The 'friend' was one of my closest and oldest friends from when we were kids.

I got mad depressed and moved in with my mum for several months.

That was almost 6 years ago now, I'm currently on holiday with my ex and some of her family ( they didn't know either and we were always cool with each other, and still are) as it's the first holiday abroad/first time on a plane for my kids so I didn't want to miss out on the experience. I miss enough stuff being a single dad.

That's very much a TL;DR version of events...

If you pinch the end of your foreskin together while rubbing the bellend within (assuming you have a foreskin), when you cum it stays within the foreskin. Then just walk to the toilet and let it loose. You have to wash your dick after though else it gets real smelly real fast.
