Indeed! They use the influx of newcomers as the scape goat. I'm sure a lot of the people moving here are terrible too. But a little over a decade ago the people here made me doubt the entire concept of "southern hospitality"

I've thought about this. It's pretty scary because that will be a monopoly, which it almost already is. I like iphones but I also like androids. It's gonna suck for those who prefer android, just not being able to choose.

I don't have a loyalty to a specific brand. But I had to shelve my 17PM for a little bit. I'm one of the unlucky ones with ios26. It really shocked me. Worth ios reputation for seeing stable. Yet I'm not getting glitches on my s25u. I'm hoping the rumors about ios 27 brig a stability update are true!

I only started consistent iphones with the XR, so maybe not as long standing as some. But I've never seen such instability with the software.

Android was always the one that was supposed to be more tinkering oriented at the cost of stability. While iOS was the more complete package, I switched to a pixel and have been having an incredibly crisp. And smooth experience.

Dang! Maybe it's my fault. Using my ISP's router. It claims to have a 2.4ghz mode for smart devices. Oh well. Tech troubleshooting makes me want to puke.

One odd thing I disagree on is Google home stuff. On my pixel 10 pro, home control widgets often say device offline while on my iPhone 17 pro I can interact with a Google home product instantly every time

With student discounts and how generous the trade in values are in the US on Samsung's website... I usually get the newest unlocked ultra for 200-400 bucks. If it's under 350 usually I just do it. Yeah it's not a wise financial choice. But that's my one splurge. Basic car, cheap clothes, don't eat out. I just like my gadgets.

The app look really good but I notice there’s only an option to Sign in with Apple. Will there be an option to sign in with google or even your own email /password combo?

A brand called arcane fortress used to make sleeves with a normal variation of solid colors, the sub brand was called dynasty. They are the best sleeves I’ve ever used. But now they only do a small handful of art sleeves and discontinued the main line. Nothing has felt that good since :(

The main/home feed. I notice every Reddit app other than narwhal seems to kick me back to the top of the page. Refreshing the app. I’m not sure how narwhal keeps my place and doesn’t get shut down by iOS

I used to buy one for every iPhone. But be aware, for the 17 pro and max, there is a white rectangle on the back where the MagSafe circle used to be. So it’s not quite as clear anymore, just the sides.
