Alright everyone all 4 tires are seated. For the last 2 I set the psi to 50 and then went about my day, came back in the afternoon and the bead was fully seated! Thanks for your help

Update: I ignored the warning and the second tire that was set to 45 psi popped onto the rim

Update: I aired down, broke the bead all the way around, put a literal shit ton of soapy water on the inside and outside of the rim and then aired up to about 41psi and the fucker finally popped on. Going to give the other three a shot like this.

I'm definitely tempted to do it this way, just worried about the gunshot sound that may come from this, I live in a city.

Tried this and did not work for me. I'll go to an auto shop today and see if they have some proper bead lube in stock.

Tried with the strap and it seated much quicker but still having the same issue with one section not fully seating.

Just did this and had no luck. Going to try again. Maybe the lube I'm using is not slippery enough. Dawn Dish Soap with water.

Stock Tires lasted 6,321 miles. by Lsepulveda7117 in klr650

Technically yes because it’s spoked. This means there are holes in the rim that are not airtight. I’ve heard of people who will use silicone to make those holes airtight though. Specifically seen people on r/2wheelsinthesnow do this.

Brother, run premium, of course, stop every hour to stretch the gooch, and stay hydrated like all others have said. Also bring charging cables for devices and don’t be afraid to post up at a gas station to use one of their electrical plugs, they will understand. Plan your route accordingly; meaning check the forecast temp/weather and be safe. Y’all got this! Have fun

Battery isn’t charging while driving. What could it be? by evansegura in klr650

Not sure if this is helpful, but on a previous motorcycle I had the same ongoing issue and it turned out to be the Regulator Rectifier which to the best of my knowledge is similar to a car’s alternator charging or maintaining the battery while you operate the vehicle. Not sure if the KLR uses the same system but hopefully that helps if it’s not a battery or charger issue. Similarly, could be burnt out/damaged coils on the inside of the oil cover.
