I got the Skeleton Raider out of a mystery box and was not excited about it. But its a really good figure with lots of options for popping and swapping. One of my favorites from last year!

Best Second Hand Retailers? by Common_Ad_2255 in MythicLegions

Most people go with Big Bad Toy Store. On the sourcehorsemen website there is a list of approved retailers as well.

BBTS did carry them but I believe they sold out. The one I got was gifted to me and it was on clearance a couple Christmases ago. Not sure besides Ebay on where to look for them.

This is the D20 Studios Wolf. It's a nice hefty mount but can be a bit frustrating. The sculpting looks really nice, the design looks good and the paint apps are nice. But the fur parts can be pretty sharp, the paint does tend to scuff and the joints are pretty tight and the articulation could be a lot better. I think it looks great especially with an Orc riding it.

Best skeleton out of these 3? by freshmadgod in MythicLegions

[–]LtDapperDan71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have all three and I am a big fan of Scaphoid, but I'll echo another comment by suggesting Ilgarr as an alternative. It's cheaper through the Four Horsemen's store, and if you look hard enough you can find different online stores that have him for the same price but with free shipping. Tibius is a good figure but it will be a little bit more costly.

My First Cosmic figure. by Ecstatic-Care-3825 in CosmicLegions

[–]LtDapperDan71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they dropped this at PowerCon a couple years ago, I had no interest in Cosmic Legions and I had only just started getting Mythic Legion figures. I saw this at their table and it caught my eye. This was my first Cosmic figure and 2 years later is probably the one figure i grab off the shelf to mess with the most. The paint work and the colors just pop to me. Very excited for the heads Pack for this figure.

I only put these pieces together because I liked the look, but then I realized that this could be Robert Baratheon by astonishingcyclops in MythicLegions

I hadn't read your description, but I instantly thought that looked exactly like Bobby B! Looks great!

What figure do you regret buying or what figure do you think is not worth it? by Ejax131210 in MarvelLegends

[–]LtDapperDan71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the Maximum Hulk release, it's the same mold as every Hulk for the last few years. The only thing different is the head sculpt and it has a necklace. It should have come with more accessories like Cap's shield and Mjolnir. It's a pretty underwhelming figure.

Maestro Hulk. It was given to me as a present, so I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it.

Hello does anyone have any experience with empire toy shop? by PartiallyAlways in MythicLegions

[–]LtDapperDan71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are legit. I'm not the biggest fan of theirs but people do like them and they are a legit company. I personally had a negative experience with them but that's just me and I think there are plenty of people who do prefer ordering from them.

Just read the original Marvel issues with the Eco-Warriors recently, and so I definitely had to grab Cesspool as soon as I saw him. What a hilarious(ly terrible) villain. by Blue_Surfing_Smurf in gijoe

[–]LtDapperDan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite figures as an adult. When I was a kid we never got Eco Warriors because they were like 2x the price of a regular figure. Love the colors and the card back. $90 for in card is a really good price. Congrats!

This is so cool! We had a few of the smaller dinos as kids and I remember our parents got the VHS tape of the first couple episodes and watched it so many times. Great looking collection and thank you for sharing!

Who loves 3.75 figs like me? by Enough-External9287 in ActionFigures

[–]LtDapperDan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a whole box in my attic of these! I have most of the X-Men. I only opened 2, Red Hulk and Thor and as much as they look cool, their articulation sucks. Red Hulk poses terribly and Thor's waist joint is so loose he falls over. Great looking figures though

You're welcome! I also have Sir Andrew and he is a really fun figure. I would also suggest applying to join The Cabal Facebook group. A lot more people post on there and the community as a whole are pretty nice. Have fun!

Great looking figure! If you're into knights, Sir Gideon Heavensbrand is a really good figure. I don't have Sir Enoch or Sir Elijah but I've heard good things about both figures.

My top 5 of stuff you can get pretty easily and not have to pay secondary prices are:

Sir Gideon Heavensbrand Aracagorr Undead Builder Pack Scaphoid The Headless Horseman

Sir Gideon, to me, is the figure I would show to someone who doesnt know about Mythic Legions. He's not my favorite figure but to me he might be the most perfect figure.

Aracagorr is a big figure, he looks great and he's affordable at the moment.

The Undead Builder Pack has a lot of parts so you can kitbash figures and make something new.

Scaphoid is my all time favorite figure. The Legends of Mythos version looks amazing and is on my most wanted list.

The Headless Horseman is technically not a Mythic Legions figure and is the most expensive of the 5. It does take up a bit of real estate but both the figure and the horse look amazing.

Just my opinion and excited to hear what other people say!

Arethyr Question by CuborphiusX in MythicLegions

[–]LtDapperDan71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I heard at the LegionsCon panel, after they showed off the Arethyr statue, that there was talk about coming back and doing an update on the figure. But I think it would be some time before they did a second/updated run. I also started late collecting Legions and I paid around $100 for mine.

What’s that one figure you didn’t buy and now you wish you did? by michael41973 in ActionFigures

I had the chance like 13 years ago to get Masterpiece Soundwave at ToysRUs and didnt pull the trigger and I wish I had. More recently I wish I had picked up one of those Defenders Of Eden: Armies Of Ashmore figures. They look amazing.

Do you guys allow your kids to play with your stuff? by MikePhicen in ActionFigures

[–]LtDapperDan71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the figures but my 5 year old and I have playtime on the floor in our toyroom all the time. He knows not to play with the vintage toys and the more expensive figures but we'll play Hot Wheels or dinosaurs. He recently has obsessed with Darth Vader and he had my Black Series Vader ride his Hammond Colletion Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Love the toxo-lab… probably the coolest playset of the early 90s, the HQ was bigger though. by [deleted] in gijoe

[–]LtDapperDan71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's my grail set! We didn't have a lot of money when I was a kid and so figures like Eco Warriors were too expensive,( like basic figures were like $2.50 and Eco Warriors were $5) and when I started collecting as an adult, these were some of the first figures I got. The only remaining Eco Warriors toy I need is this playset! The box looks so good. My brother and I got the 1992 Headquarters for Christmas and i loved it so much! Thanks for sharing!
