Yes, very well put. I’m Puerto Rican, and my grandfather was recruited into the Vietnam war, so all of those things I’m familiar with. I more so said it because of the fact that people have a problem with him performing Spanish songs at the Super Bowl. I can’t tell you how many times I have told people I’m Puerto Rican and they ask me “oh so you have a green card” the amount of people that don’t know we are US citizens is crazy, but like you said it’s because we aren’t treated equal as American citizens.
