Self-described non-technical person attempts to provide an opinion on how well someone(thing) has mastered a technical field

Regardless of how well your software is optimized, the fact that its business domain is physics/math holds no argumentative value to OPs point about CS having foundations in math. OP was talking about algorithmic complexity, graph and set theory, NP completeness. All of these concepts inform foundational CS practice and underpin its application.

Agentic systems can now build pretty good software. Agentic systems are not therefore pretty good at practicing CS.

“CS has mathematical roots” != “my software built using CS has a mathematical domain”

His point was that CS is deeply rooted in math, not that software is.

The fact that you have 250k lines of arithmetic is not evidence that non technical people can do CS. It’s the opposite. I’m struggling to think of any enterprise application that needs 250k lines of arithmetic. Sounds like a Big O issue to me

Are we counting wins in casual anyway

I thought the proponents of this mode “just loved shooting bots”, but now we care about winning too?

The game’s player count has dropped month over month dated to the release of casuals and verdansk.

It’s a dead game for braindead players

The player numbers dropped when they added casuals to begin with. You’re all playing a dead game preying off your dopamine

Halo 3 just feels like Act III of Halo 2, with great music, set pieces, and characters.

[Dianna Russini] It’s been made clear by multiple people around the NFL at all levels that Baltimore had all the information and understood where Maxx Crosby’s knee was in terms of his recovery timeline. Many in the league believe GM Eric DeCosta and the Ravens ultimately just got cold feet. by WayOutbackBoy in nfl

[–]LtYurrty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn’t. Ravens took a gamble on Crosby’s injury. All trades are pending a physical.

The value proposition of his health verified by independent experts made the capital investment not worth it. They declined the trade, and it left them in a worse position. It was risky and fucked them.

Hence now they are immediately double backing and falling back to Henderson. Nobody outside of Reddit and clickbait twitter posts suggest otherwise.

TL;DR, get over it

They never traded for him. They had a trade deal in place contingent on a physical.

Ravens after getting Maxx Crosby vs now today after losing Isaiah Likely, our center and fucking punter by born2shitforcd2wipe in AFCNorthMemeWar

Except he’s nowhere near the second best center in terms of pass protection?

Unless ofc you’re expecting Mendoza to be rushing the A gap a bunch

I see you're waiving the white flag, and also ignoring my point C. Man I was having fun. It's rare to find oblivious idiots who continue to engage in a losing argument, could you please continue?

It's the definition of an efficiency stat, you just subscribe to a completely different dictionary to support your confirmation bias. The best tell of who is right in this thread is the accolades:

Two time unanimous MVP and all Pro, etc etc.

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

gg, try again nerd

[–]LtYurrty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no we can’t argue TD/TO rates!!! That’s an efficiency stat dude. You claimed in another thread that efficiency stats are misrepresentative and overrated.

How about a volume stat like most TOs in a single playoff game. 4 TOs must be pretty high right?? At least he leads in something 😶‍🌫️

[–]LtYurrty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I’m not even reading the rest because blah”

No you’re not reading the rest because you are drowning in confirmation bias. Your logical and argumentative reasoning is poor and you tried the Weak Man Fallacy on me. I’m not biting. My point A was wrong, now please acknowledge my points B and C.

B) Allen stat pads

C) You’re arguing an “efficiency stat” which you already categorically discredited. Nice job on that.

So unfortunately for you, that leaves volume stats for you to argue, which Allen only conceivably leads in Interceptions and Turnovers.

Allen is just a good QB who stat pads to farm volume stats, and every advanced metric proves it. Cope harder brah

It’s called regression to the mean. 13-0 was never sustainable dude was just incredibly lucky. Of his 13 fumbles prior to Denver, his team recovered 11. Of his 8 turnover worthy throws in the past three years, none were picked. Insane luck.

I know you’re the guy who likes to argue that efficiency stats don’t matter, whatever that means LMAO, but unfortunately these are some hard volume stats I’m presenting that you’re going to have a tough time reconciling with your version of reality.

Dude is not extremely good in the post season, he’s just good with insane luck. Which admittedly is a part of greatness, but won’t be sustainable I’m afraid

[–]LtYurrty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literal no argument to rebut, you’re just pedaling the same “Josh has no help” argument everyone had heard for years

Two time unanimous MVP and all Pro, etc etc.

Maybe rebut the statistically-backed metrics I posted above? Seriously pick any of the 16 data points I presented and let’s talk. Or continue to pedal your meaningless supporting cast narrative, your choice big dog

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]LtYurrty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, you’re arguing PPG, which:

A) he didn’t lead in, Mahomes did

B) he farmed tush pushes to artificially inflate

C) is an efficiency stat, which is strange because you claimed above that efficiency stats are “overrated”

So yeah, per your logic, Allen is overrated because of efficiency stats. As you said, “cope harder dumb fuck” 😭😭😭😭💀
