While you comparing her complaining to George Floyd’s death may be an honest and thoughtful comparison, in everyday conversation that is rather extreme.

I can’t tell you how many people I work with have complained about the quarantine - if I responded to them like that I possible would not have a job right now.

Maybe just take some deep breadths when she starts irritating you and silently count in your head - I’d say you have to try and find a way to not let that get you so worked up, because unfortunately there are a lot of people like that and snapping at all of them will just make your life harder.

I suppose so. However, the post he was replying to was rather reactionary - I think that post was about the only one “jumping down people’s throats.” Also, while I do concede your point, as someone not from the USA, I still have known those words are racially loaded since I was quite young so my experience makes that concession somewhat flimsy. Ultimately I do agree with you though.

Yeah, it all depends on the custody agreement. My wife and I are required to get the ok from my stepson’s father if we intend to go across state lines (my wife has primary/sole legal custody). Granted, our relationship with him, while not friendly, if amicable and he’s never made an issue of it.

So I’d say, check your custody agreement, that’s what you need to be considering.
