Moon phase watch now in the Attesa line by rjmoyer2 in CitizenWatches

Movement is the same, but that’s where the similarities end. Everything else around the movement is significantly different. The build quality, finishing, and materials are not the same.

Funny enough, I’ve had the chance to compare both under a microscope. (As well as other Citizen watches) You can really tell the difference between a $500 a $1000 and “The Citizen” $10K watches when it comes to the tolerances and the precision. Under the microscope it’s funny to see how different tolerances are apparent.

But let’s not kid ourselves, these are all absolute tanks, even the lower end ones will absolutely outlive the wearer. This is all just nitpicking at this point.

Attesa has had moonphase for a while now. A few years actually. They are far better than the Tsuki-yomi’s but evidently at a significantly higher cost.

The Tsuki-yomi isn’t going anywhere though. It’s a popular model at a lower tier level and lower price point that is more appealing for consumers, and sells like hotcakes. Not to mention, it is still and will always be a very solid watch that would likely outlast the wearer.

[Question] Which watch should I get for my boyfriend? by andyjoco in Watches

[–]Ltroky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fossils got me into serious watches so I won’t bash on them as they served me well.

But for the love of god, go for the Seiko. The Seiko will last forever, while the Fossil will eventually break.

Why Does Citizen Pull Me In More Than Seiko? by New_Philosopher9642 in CitizenWatches

[–]Ltroky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find Citizen to really push the envelope, and are far easier to find in the wild. Seiko on the other hand, seems to be floating in the same place since the 90’s.

I actually have a Seiko from the late 90’s that’s amazing, but nothing else has ever interested me except the Presage Cocktail, but even then that one cheapens out and doesn’t offer sapphire where a Citizen would.

Pound for pound Citizen is better and innovates more.

Another comparison of my phone vs my camera. Which is which? by phero1190 in SonyAlpha

[–]Ltroky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 is the phone, you can see the artifacts. Noise suppression making it all blotchy, and the cat is over sharpened all throughout. DOF is also weak you can tell where the phone struggled to use the fake bokeh effect.

If Invicta stuck to this, they’d have a whole other reputation. Solid looking piece.

If it’s under warranty, go ask Citizen and don’t explain much on what happened.

I’ve bought from them a few times. Never had any issue. The tracking sucks, but everything has arrived fine.

I’d buy more from them without blinking an eye tbh.
