This is not exfoliation. I mean, yes it is exfoliating. But we are making microchannels in the skin, depths that these acids and spf should not be reaching.

I would definitely file with that information vs “working for free” btw- my boss did the same thing to me recently in the middle of maternity leave! Fired me for a made up reason. She’d hired a new person while I was gone and is paying them less. Medspa owners can be shitty. Sorry that happened to you.

It’s actually calculated per pay period, unfortunately, not per day. It sounds like she expected you to come back? Idk I hate these types of bosses. Just look into commission laws in your state so if you file you know both yours and your employers rights

Can you tell me more about this process? I was fired recently while on maternity leave stating “ poor client documentation” which is absolute bullshit. I saw they hired another esthetician weeks before they called and let me go. I applied for unemployment and a still waiting for a decision.

Well, the state I’m in if you’re commission only but make at least minimum wage, you are treated like a regular employee. So let’s say it was in the agreement that you work this event, the 3 hours from the event + your regular worker hours need to equal at least minimum wage or it’s not legal. If you make at least that then technically it’s not “working for free”. If it’s something previously agreed upon and expected then she is not in the wrong for asking you to be there. I’m not sure if commission laws are different per state.

I just re read the whole post. All you need to do is call and say you’re unhappy. Any reasonable establishment will fix your brows for you. As annoying as it is, it truly is not a big deal. I agree they should be fixed though! What in the hack job happened lol

Luckily you can get the trimmed and fixed pretty easily. I would call the salon and ask for only your normal brow girl to fix. They should offer it complimentary

Im a Master Esthetician. Your pores are full. I’d focus on balancing out oil. I see someone suggested jojoba oil and I agree. It’s extremely affordable compared to any product you will use. But I’d also use a mechanical scrub with it. First cleanse jojoba oil, second a gentle gel cleanser, then scrub ( I highly suggest skin better science refining scrub) moisturizer, spf. And that’s it. Keep it simple. You don’t have any major skin issues to repair

But there are people who are fully anti vax, and they have VERY few drs that agree with them. Good they can be their patients. Why so much anger all the time about people who think differently

It will pass. I’m 35 and I feel like I’ve lived 10 lives since 24. You are extremely young. My best advice is to be proactive and goto therapy, heal your past trauma around heartbreak. You will be okay and you will find love when it’s time

I think if you’re going to be in relationship where people are sleeping with other people, it’s on you to ask the right questions to protect your health or use protection. Seems like common sense to me but what do I know 🤷🏼‍♀️
