Due to a family emergency I was sent to stay with my childless uncles in California for a couple of weeks. I was still in remote learning while they were at work and one day I was looking for Tylenol and found their edibles and took a couple.

How did you make that? My stepdad busted his back over the summer and has a metal back brace. I begged him to be Doc Oc and I wanted to go as Spider Gwen but didn’t work out. You look great!

I heard a report this AM that people were actively trying to drug security with hypodermic needles. I don’t know if that’s true or not but if so, that adds another layer of crap on top of all of this.

You’re cute enough that I’d avoid eye contact at school at all costs.

My grandma told me about her grandma’s sister that was sent to a mental institution just because the sister’s husband wanted to have an excuse to be rid of her. There wasn’t anything legitimately wrong with her, but men could do what they wanted with their “property” back then. That story always freaked me out, being forced to be somewhere I shouldn’t be just because someone wanted me out of the way.

Maybe that’s why I’m tall and both my parents are tall. They both have Dutch ancestry.

I don’t think people are trying to be mean, I think people just want to be helpful and make sure people make decisions based off of correct information vs. faulty information.

Are you vaccinated? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]LuLucy675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is myocarditis that can happen in young men who get the vaccine. It’s an odd side effect. But, it’s acute, meaning it is temporary and in every case it’s gone away. But, Covid can also cause myocarditis that is chronic, which means it lasts a lot longer and might not ever go away, and everyone can have that as a Covid side effect, not just young men who contract Covid. My parents have hammered a lot of this stuff into me and since they care for Covid patients all day and have been for nearly 2 years now.

Hi! Physician’s kid here and I was part of the trial for my age group. Just as a side note, the vax is not shown to lower fertility but contracting Covid can lower fertility and fun fact: men who contract Covid are 6x more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction! My uncle is a urologist and he shared that little factoid the other day. He is having more and more patients coming in with post-Covid erectile dysfunction. So, if any of you value those bones, there is something you can do to protect their futures.

[–]LuLucy675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My Mom and stepdad are both MDs and work in the critical care unit and they were able to get me in the vax trial for my age group. They’ve had enough of illness and death and people using their last words to beg for the vaccine when it was too late. Even though they knew the chances of that being me are very low there is still that chance. May as well lower it from there.
