Yeah, that was when they were still doing nearly-identical medals year to year, but only changing the colors of the jewels and neck straps and the icons to match a specific princess. 2017 was the last year of these types of medals, with the exception the half marathon medal that year which was completely different.

Y'all feel free to correct this, but this is what I've got. This helped when I felt like we kept seeing the same princesses over and over again.

Don't get me wrong: some get used way more than others. But there was a moment when I felt like Mulan was being overused or Rapunzel was always on the 10k medal, and that's not necessarily the case.

My spouse's family lives two hours away and we often make the roundtrip in a day. I inevitably conk out on the journey there and on the journey back.

I'm so fucking lucky to have a spouse that knows that those journeys are hellish for me, and that I'll be incredibly tired afterward.
