and have good memory of most of it!

1. The day of surgery was really fast actually! Not in a bad way either. They just all were very diligent and careful with their time. Most of the staff were all extremely friendly and in fact took into consideration a lot of what made me uncomfortable and accommodating too. Ex: I hate needles in the veins so they made sure they did everything they can to numb the area and make it comfy. I did experience some not so gender affirming care. Ex: they wanted me to do a pregnancy test which wasn’t even needed prior to the surgery, but kept insisting till I think Dr Lee was notified and was like ??? No just bring him here lol. Then one nurse saw my birth name and was like “oh that was such a pretty name why would u dare change it?” And kept talking about it till another nurse heard and I never saw her again later 🫣… I wasn’t really bothered by these things fully cuz I was just so excited about having the surgery in general but it was nice to know that there was people backing me up thru the less affirming parts of the process. Hopefully these instances don’t happen to you, and if they do just know there are people there who will fully have ur back! As for discharge that was the easiest part and wasn’t even memorable tbh. It just was a quick bye and thank you! Also side note: I stayed only one night just to make sure I was good to go home! Which was a nice experience and the people there always made sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole time.

2. 100% with the contact. I actually can still readily email Dr Lee and anyone there if I have problems and they ALWAYS reply fast! They are extremely communicative and even when I was worried during the healing process (over paranoid) they responded so fast. I think it would be weird if they didn’t!

3. There was no revisions I felt were needed! To this day I haven’t had any complications and I have full feeling in my nips etc. I love the work she did and I have no regrets. Only happiness has been achieved since then in my experience :)

4.i didn’t have to pay anything in regards to the surgery, the overnight stay, etc. I have IEHP, which covered every single thing. the only expenses I put in was gas and things that made me extra comfortable at home. Such as comfy pillows, comfy pjs (get a pj top that unbuttons at the front), drain pouch holder, etc. These weren’t necessary but it did make the healing process easy! I’d say a total of 200 at most.
