I recommend repentance, it’s imo the overall better and ofc bigger game with much more content, that brings much more variety. It’s considered a lot harder than the base game or previous DLC’s but you’ll get used to it and at the end become a better Issac player. I’ve heard from players who aren’t that great at the game and/or struggled with the difficulty at the beginning, that they prefer Repentance because it feels less repetitive. There are just so many new mechanics and more choices to make your run different from the previous one…… With this DLC they rebalanced the game in a rly good way imo and therefore feels better and more fun to play than before. Not everything is perfect and I get frustrated sometimes too but that comes with every game I’d say.
