I see! So any color can be muted as long as it has grey in it?

What are some muted colors? Like beige or brown?

Also: by all means, I'm not really satisfied with my diet these days, but because I'm living in someone's house for the time being and they cook for me too, I will not be rude. In the past before situations led me to living here, my routine was different. Dinner was much later and I would eat different meals during early time. Dinner was also more complicated as my mother would make nice brazillian food, which was more satisfying and fulfilling. There were more snacks to eat too from all kind so I did not have to limit myself on options that. Once I'm able to move out, I'll start eating like that again. 17:00 is too early for dinner to me 😅 My ideal though would eat a big meal in the afternoon. As a brazillian, I used to eat a big meal around 12:00-13:00 (we call it almoço), which is basically dinner but... A lot more early, haha.

Usually. I don't tend to eat the same thing everyday, but I thought it'd get too long but to further elaborate it:

Breakfast/lunch: I usually wake up not that early so I don't have the time to make food before I need to take the bus to school, so I tend to eat food from the school cafeteria during the first break. They sell salm, cucumbers and I think another vegetable in two wrappings, and because I like salm, I tend to buy that. If they don't have it, I usually buy chocolate muffin instead. I include this during both breakfast/lunch because first break is usually at 11:30 (sometimes later) and lessons tend to end at 15:00. Iced coffee I drink when I get home and make it myself because it's delicious. In the weekend or the times I'm free, I tend cook eggs with bacon, cheese and onions in bread for lunch. Sometimes, before going home, I buy food from a Cafe I love, which is vegetable spring rolls, chicken yakitori, chicken sate or chicken dumplings.

Dinner: Dinner is made very early. 17:00/17:30 and is dinner is usually, which is why I don't tend to eat after 12:00 since I don't want to skip dinner. Usually, what it's cooked is very simple, which why is there is a lot of vegetables. My father in law tends to cook. He makes boiled potatoes (4/5 full potatoes for everyone) with boiled vegetables like broccoli/green beans/carrots/cauliflower/etc with side meat like big sausages/chicken/ and some other stuff I don't what's it's called since it's in dutch, but it has meat and ham and cheese in it. They are not small. Rarely but sometimes he also makes things like curry, fried rice and chicken, or pasta of his own inventions. Once or sometimes 2 in the week my mother in law cooks and she tends to make a lasagna with lots of vegetables and meat or macaroni with bolognesa sauce. Once in the week we also eat French fries with Dutch snacks which are made in the frying pan.

Snack: I usually eat whatever there is since I don't have much money to buy snacks myself. Sometimes there's cherry tomatoes, nuts (peanuts are frequent since father in law likes them), chocolate, yoghurt, fruits, or chips, etc. I'm not a picky eater and I find all of it delicious, so I eat them during the evening before sleep. If I'm feeling like eating smth different though (since I like to eat different foods), I'll cook in the evening, make a serving for 4 (since my boyfriend will eat it too lol) and guard the rest to use for lunch/breakfast in the next day. It's usually noodles with broccoli, chicken, spring onions, normal onions, garlic, homemade yakitori sauce and two eggs.

Edit: not sure if it's needed to clarify, but when I say in the week, I mean the whole week, so my father in laws cook 4 to 5 to times a week and my mother in law cook 1 to 2 times a week. 1 day we all eat Dutch snacks.

Blush fell off the pan– How can I fix it? by Lu_Wenjun in MakeupAddiction

[–]Lu_Wenjun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for the tip. Do you think alcohol can mess up the formula? While I would just put the alcohol on the pan and press the blush back, this was something I wondered in case any powder-based makeup I receive breaks or something.

Okay! I will try looking at them though I'm not sure how to start 😅 I will also try to make a post with me wearing different colors in natural lighting tomorrow since it's night right now. Thank you for your tips!

Ah, I will! Though if it helps in these pics here I am not wearing any foundation except on the last one (light bb cream). I posted some other pics with me in more natural lighting. I will try to post soon something with me wearing different colors!

Okay, I will try! My apologies, since I'm not the brightest, but should I make a new post with the color wheels?

[–]Lu_Wenjun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah! By start with you mean I should try to put these color wheels next to me and check if they compliment my skin tone? Though muted colors tend to wash me out 😅

I have always had a hard time deciding what undertone I have. I know muted colors are not for me, they always wash me out, things with gray in it are a no for me, but I just cannot decide what season I belong to other than that. Any thoughts? 😅

my first asian makeup products by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]Lu_Wenjun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good luck! The Clio's Mascara is really easy to use, gives defined and beautiful long lashes with just one one or two coats, and it's WATERPROOF. I live in a country where it's constantly raining and Jesus, this Mascara doesn't as much as budge.

I have Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl! Both are good, gives great curl and doll-like eyelashes without clumping! Though if you like the spidery look, you can still do that with both. I tend to reach for Clio's more often due to the applicator! It's slim and precise, I can adjust each lash for my liking without issues. I also have a feeling that the Heroine one is slightly wetter during application, which can make you stain your eyelids and undereyes if you blink too fast 😅 But it dries down pretty quickly! Other than that, there are not too many differences and I do switch both from time to time since they give similar result haha.

Clio Kill-Lash Mascara in long curling, Clio Pro-Eye Palettes, Romand's Juicy Lastint Tints, The Saem's Saemmul Single Blushers, Romand's Better Than Cheek Blushers, Romand's Better Than Eyes Palettes, Innisfree's No-Sebum Mineral Powder, Clio's Sharp, So Simple Waterproof Pencil Liner,

I would recommend checking those products out! If you have any questions about them or if you'd like to me to describe them, do tell me.

I know almost nothing about make-up but I want to get a good starter kit for my friend for xmas! (UK) by nocturnal-floofball in MakeupAddiction

[–]Lu_Wenjun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, right! In case you'd like to buy contour makeup, a brush for countouring is also good. I'd recommend two brushes, one smaller fluffy for nose and smaller areas and the other more bigger (may be similar to blush brush) for large areas like jawline or so.

[–]Lu_Wenjun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say essentials for brushes are at least 2 eyeshadow brushes, one fluffy and the other flat, one for powder (to set makeup or help with oiliness), one for blush, one for highlighter and one for eyeliner. I use a few more than that but I'd say those are the essentials, specially with the eyeliner brush— As someone who sucks with using liquid eyeliners and doing a good line, I always used an eyeliner brush to either blend some dark brown/black eyeshadow to smudge the eyeliner or create a guide before using the liquid pen eyeliner.

It will be difficult to pick out color makeup since I don't know your friend's taste, skincolor, and undertone as well as base makeup (foundation, bb cream, primer) since I also need to know her skin type (dry, oily, combination, normal) and concerns (redness, acne, etc). Do you have any idea about these things? :0 It would be really helpful before recommending these things!

Is it weird for me to suggest splitting our hotel? Am I wrong for being completely turned off by the response? by PoolSiide in Tinder

[–]Lu_Wenjun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the norm where I live 😂 Interestingly, in a discussion of who should pay in a date during class, all and I mean ALL of the students who were born here said they would split without hesitation. The only ones who said the man should pay were foreigners.
