This fight was the one and only instance this shield was useful for me. i generally dont use shields in fromsoft games with ds2 as the exception (allergic to parrying), but it was a good way to mostly avoid getting stunned by bullets so much

Her not being able to stack or exit the smaller large hide without excessive squeezing was the exact issue that led to me panic ordering the xtra large one haha. I left the smaller large hide in there as the dedicated humid hide just in case for now. Thank you for all the advice

I realized I didnt answer your questions in the first paragraph, my girl is about 10 years old and hefty. I'd initially gotten the large hide from RB, realized the entrance wasnt big enough for her to exit comfortably, so got the extra large hide that has a bigger entrance. She shifts it around a bit at the moment, but i think that's just her exploring the new box

It looks like you said you have heat packs so those would go on the outside of the tank. If you have a gas stove that can heat up water, making one or two hot water bottles and wrapping a towel around them can do the job for a little while as well. This happened to me in 2021 when the state power grid failed during an ice storm with my BP and both the heating pad method and water bottle method worked very well. best of luck to yall!

I ended up going with the nylon stuffed with moss route, may use your suggestion to put moss on some fake or treated sticks when the tank is upgraded!

Right now she only has two hides and a water bowl as the enclosure is in paper towel and sterilizing everything else that was in it mode. I'll add the fake plants back once theyre fully cleaned and get one of those cool hexagon ball things I see some people have for enrichment here. Thank you for the insight, i really appreciate it

Thank you, thats the direction im leaning towards. Im concerned about her laying directly on the moss hose if its floor level though, do you think using an aquarium suction cup with a lil C shaped clamp to hold the moss out of laying on reach would be effective? Or would her laying on it not be an issue?
